That's a great looking nib, Richard. My Arco is in for fine tuning and I miss it!

Thanks Leo. I just received a Pelikan Script 1.0 in the mail and have been messing around with it. I'll be posting a review and some writing samples soon. It's my first italic and I have to say they are very cool.

I've been using my Sailor 1911 Realo (B) pretty much nonstop since I got it and really like the pen. Both the Japanese pens I now have are outstanding and really live up to their reputations for quality and superb nibs. I'll definitely be picking up some more down the line.

I haven't taken any pics of my recent acquisitions yet, but you can see what the Realo looks like here:

John I have a couple of Pilots and Platinum FPs from Japan and I too really like the way they write. I just picked up a Platinum FP which has a needle nib and it writes very smoothly and very small!!!

If anyone is after Pilot products, www.stationeryart.com is a great seller and they appear on ebay as "Winning Pen." I carried a ladies black Cross pen and pencil set in my handbag today but never had cause to use it.

Hello Faith, how is your weekend going? Any more blind dates you needed to write off with your Cross pen?

I carried a Cross pen in law enforcement, talk about history and the tickets I wrote with it. Fond memories.

Believe it or not, no dates this weekend (although I saw two vict . . . I mean, dates during the week). It was nice to get out with girlfriends. BTW, what happened to your Cross pen?

Packed away with my law enforcement gear.
That was given to me by a girlfriend long ago, 1981.

I tell ya, Leo, the Pilot Custom 823 is as smooth as silk and holds a lot of ink as well. It also has a really slick vacuum/plunger fill mechanism that works like a charm. I really love that pen. And I would suggest anyone shopping Pilots start at nibs.com. After Mr. Mottishaw gets through with a pen, you're guaranteed a winner.

Gotcha, my Safari is an Extra fine.....I love it for general note taking at work. Do you think the Aluminum Safari's are worth getting?
