yes, 2 years ago. was on the list for 5 years to get a white dial and now i have it. the man it was ordered for told them let me talk to my wife when they notified him it was here. they hung up the phone, called me and i bought it. the man it was ordered for called them 2 days later to tell them he would take it and they told him i bought it less than 5 minutes after he said let me talk to my wife......

i wanted one with a full factory warranty in my name as the original owner. it's an m serial and it was 9,925.00. how much are they now?

I just walked past an AD on my way from work and they had both black and white SS Daytona sitting in the window display. I guess the demand isn't that high anymore. For me the demand quickly came to a stop a couple of days ago seeing a contestant on the Swedish version of American Idol wearing one.

Yes, did last month. They did discount the the tax from the price, but I would not really count that as a discount.

Yes, if the question is in the vain of the prevailing market forces and not personal desire. You'd almost be fortunate for the opportunity to get one from an AD at full price PERIOD. I'm bored with the model so sold mine (at a slight profit) and won't buying another. So, for me, the answer if you're looking for personal preferences is no.

Daytonas do absolutely positively nothing for me. So the answer would be nope.

I'd win the Rolex Daytona 24 hours race one day and won the watch as one of the price :)

No. But then, I wouldn't buy one WITH a discount (unless it was a ridiculous amount such that I could turn it right around for a handsome profit).

By the way, the question posed in the thread title is not a yes or no question.

I dont see what the big deal about the ss Daytona is. The market is getting flooded with SS watches these days. When Gold hits 5k many people will be disappointed they did not buy the tt Daytona for less than the SS when they had a chance.

So it's been 8 months and I realized my friend was right. The next SS Daytona I buy will have to be discounted.

Rolex are the watches that sell themselves.. Yes.. Maybe would go as far to ask for 100-150 bucks off, for sympathy.. With 150 bucks, "I can take my wife out to dinner to celebrate"

Yes, did it three years ago, never looked back. In saying that it was before I knew about TRF and trusted sellers...
