Daytona: Everose looks good, but will take some getting used to on a sports model. Dials are really cool! Can't wait to see more of them.

Submariner: Knew the supercase design was comming, just don't like it. Looks all out of proportion next to the bracelet. Blue dial/bezel color is hideous! A TT design will not be able to recover it from the loss of the "old" darker blue. This new color looks more like plastic than ceramic.

DSSD: Like the design, hope the crystal printing is just a sticker for displays and not permanently affixed. Also, I hope the SD is not cancelled, as they are two different models.

Day Date: Love the 40mm size! Want to see more of the new faces...

OP: Absolutely hideous, looks like it came out of a gumball machine in the Swatch outlet store lobby.

To Summarize: Rolex has taken a very new direction, and the tool watch is officially dead now, except for the revolutionary DSSD and its depth rating. RIP.

In looking at these pics, it appears that the text is actually on the CRB, and not the RBR. What do you think?

Definitely looks better on those pics. The writing still makes it look too busy though. NICE clasp

We are we the last to find everything ?

I personally think Rolex is gonna have to keep the original Sea Dweller 4000... or at least they better. It's a classic!

They can't have the Sub at 300m and then the DSSD at 3900m. It would be very dumb of Rolex to ever stop producing the SD 4000!

I've had a while to digest this new Blue, terrible.

If it is true the new DJ and DD are 40mm.....I would a least be able to explore getting one now.....36mm is just way to small on my wrist!

Ok these pictures are starting to make me like the DSSD, especially the clasp. It's great... if only it didn't have that stupid text on the RBR. I mean who wants to read "ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE - RING LOCK SYSTEM" every time they look at their watch! I'll have to wait to find out more information about it such as weight, dimensions, movement, etc...

It looks like a "flat extension/step" of the rehaut... anyway I am on the list at the AD

I wonder if the caseback is sapphire??

I am waiting for the press report and I will post a link here when it is out

I've lost some respect for Rolex

I have lost some respect for Rolex. What they do now doesn't affect me much, because they are already terminally out of my price range. I'm just glad I got a couple before they decided to abandon their classic designs.

I may have never really understood Rolex, but my impression of them was of a company that actually "knew" themselves, and thus made minor improvements to their watch line, over very long periods of time.

Now, I am forming a different impression of them. I'm sure the movement part of the watch is still FANTASTIC, but the outer designs are becoming more and more uncomfortable , blingy and most of all TRENDY.
Couple that with the ridiculously high pricing, and I do believe they've lost me as a new watch customer, probably forever. ( I am just middle class )

I'll repeat myself. I am very happy that I have a couple of the classics. I hope nothing happens to them, because I don't think I want anything Rolex will have to offer in the near future.

SD's ok. Big, blocky bastid indeed! And what's with all the advertising on the front of the watch! Maybe I need to see one in front of me, still undecided but from first impressions, I don't like it.

I'm glad I got the previous version.

WOW- printing is on the dial instead! Kinda cool, I think, but I want to see it in person.

....OH! I think you're right... it IS on the dial! It's a white or silver ring around the black dial that has the text on it. That's not half as bad as it being written on the RBR!

One question, guys: What the hell were those designers at Rolex smokin' when they came up with most of those abominations?

And what the hell have they done to my beloved BLUESY?

Wow!! I hate all of the colorful designs, but the DSSD looks pretty cool. Reserving final thoughts until we see more pictures of everything.

I'm not a fan of the domed crystal too. Still prefer the flat protruding crystal on the present SD.

I'm late to the party...it has taken my poor pc an age to get onto this forum with all the traffic...arrrghhhhh!!!!!

I'm really fed up now. After this wait and then the teaser on the official site which made the bezel look polished or platty...we get this monstrosity. Oversized and overengineered. I'll be giving it a miss. At least it didn't have the damn rubber strap that everybody was rumouring.

That white gold Sub is bloody awful. The blue is dreadful...why couldn't they use that gorgeous ceramic blue from the bezel of the YMII?

The rest of the dials etc...I couldn't care less about...I won't be buying any of them.

Where are the orange hand explorers?

Where are the 100th anniversary specials?

I've made up my mind, the only Rolex I'm looking to buy in the near future will be a discontinued Pepsi GMT...don't even get me started on the absence of the ceramic version of that!!!!!

Are we a picky lot or what? The more radical Rollie's (The OP's) seem to be getting a lot of hate, for more or less being well, to radical of a change. (Personally, I don't care for them, but hey, I didn't like the new Millie's either)

And on the other hand, most of us seem to be a bit disappointed that the SDDS and the SUB changes are NOT radical enough. (Like the SDDS, but not enough over the SD, and the Platty DD is beautiful)

Anxious to see what other goodies await, if any.
