48k is not bad, but not much there in terms of stickers and it's somewhat old, July 2020.

I'm pretty sure he would have priced at 50k fully stickered with newer dated warranty

Haha you’re a funny court jester. Pretty soon I’m going to start clapping and ask you to dance.

Just keep applying that 3M to your watches ,
Protect your investments.

And don’t forget where you came from, you got your hulk, Pepsi, and Daytona at MSRP. You can’t get mad at others for not having the same opportunity.

Enjoy the ride. Now do a dance for me

My watch OCD behind has indeed influenced my circle and many others, based on my observations.

I'm truly sorry if I hurt your feelings. It's quiet evident that I've gotten under your skin. Please be well, Mr. Rollie. Sleep if off, love. This is the last time I'm going to respond to you on this thread. I can't keep feeding you.

Chadri! Half of the hype surrounding this timepiece can be attributed to some of your pictures with the watch. Can you hit us with one please? With the plaid suit?

Oh snap, did anyone else just feel the price go up by 1% as a result of this epic photo?

@ Chadridv maybe you should be limited to only 5 photos a year to keep the market contained from excitement about a watch! Now I suddenly feel the urge to go out mine on.

People who say Chrono 24 prices are too high. The "trusted sellers" on this forum, not just DSW but all of them, often have ask prices that are higher than Chrono24 lol. If anything Chrono 24 is too low.

What's the most recent example of the "market settled" in regards to Rolex specifically?? I guess you could look to the "Great Recession" and its lasting effects on everything from mid 2008-2010 or a tad beyond.

Good point. It depends on the piece but I've noticed this on a peices as well, but it's generally not the case.

Don't be upset, but it's literally risen about 600.00 in the past 24 hrs on Chrono. I'm not sure whether there is a Nexus or correlation between that and my boy @Chadridv

Well here most recently the 214270 had a point when it was commanding near 15-16k on "some" sites when the 124270 was released and there werent many out there. Now they can be found in there usual 10-11k range. The White 114300 had its run. Remember seeing a few hit 17-18k and now back down to earth. I'm sure there are others but those are the two of recent memory that I specifically watched as I own a 214270 and a 114300.

Granted no Rolex has reached the level of hysteria/pricing as the 116500 but my point was whenever there is a new price change of discontinue speculation models will go bonkers for a little while then come back down. Ebb and flow.

But yes keeping in tune with this thread the Daytona 116500 is on a whole other level. If someone wants to pay 50k plus for it then more power to em. Not my money. It is a great reference. I own one. Just saying that IMO the upper 20's is where I would draw a hard line in the sand. I think the 16520 which I dont own should have more hysteria and higher pricing but everyone goes crazy for the ceramic. INCLUDING me. I have a 520 and 523 but wanted a 500 badly. I am even hopefully landing a 505/515 this year. Love the Daytona line, obviously. Just not at 40-50k for a SS version. But again to all the people who do then great. Spend your money how you like.

This is just madness. TO ME this watch is barely a want at MSRP. Put this along with the 5711 and no other reason then hype and FOMO these prices do not justify the actual product. People paying these prices 1) have the means and 2) just want to be part of the “herd”.

Serious question: if you currently have the watch and don’t intend on selling it, what is the point of monitoring prices as closely as a day trader?
