Dan,

Two weeks ago after 12 years of the original Oyster bracelet on my 16610, I decided I needed a little change now and then, so I now have 5 NATO's: 3 Maratacs (Black, International Orange, Bond Black and Grey), 1 Timefactors Admiralty Grey, and a Bond RAF NATO from Corvus. No pics yet, but I'm definitely in on the Nylon Nation.

That Blancpain is FANTASTIC looking! That's one of the coolest vintage watches I have seen in a long time.

If you ever want to part with it, please let me know.

Stunning watch, simply stunning...

Here's my little contribution.

Decided to buy a few straps and try them out on my two watches that have lug holes:

And my favorite combo:

And this is the one I like the best on the Tudor Sub:

A pic of both:

And another combo or two:

There are some great new Nylon Nation members and photo's the past couple of weeks. Great job everyone. A low-cost way to change things up a bit, and very comfortable to boot.

Well, I wondered for a while what the LV Sub would look like with a NATO strap. I haven’t seen many (if any, that I can recall recently) posted on the forums, so I figured I’d give it a go last week. I did a little trading around with the straps and it only took a few minutes to figure out which one I liked best. Of course, in true watch nerd fashion, I put each strap on the watch and stood there asking my wife how it looked on my wrist. She was a trooper and played along, and agreed with me with regard to which looked best.

So, here is what the whole shebang looks like:

Starting off the fun is the double skunk stripe. This is a Maratac strap, medium in thickness (compared to the other G10 straps), and slides easily onto the Sub.

Next up is the olive drab strap:

Now the Corvus “Real Bond Strap”:

Now, the Corvus strap is a nice looking strap, but is much thinner/flimsier than the other straps. It is more akin to a thick piece of ribbon than a strap, which is disappointing, because it is a very nice looking strap. The material is thin enough that wearing the watch on this strap for less than two days is enough to start tearing out the holes. (see pics below) In fairness to Corvus, I have not contacted them to see if there was a batch that had subpar thickness or strength (or something). The Maratac straps do not display any wear and both the green and black straps have been worn for nearly two weeks each on the same watches.

So, in the end, which one do you think looks best?

My personal choice? Black! Or possibly the SS bracelet.

Haven't found a watch that doesn't look great on a leather nato.
