Hi Steve and Henry,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
What is it about "F" serial number that many people are talking about? is it really that highly sought after? What so special about "F" serial?

Thanks

the earlier f-serial has a slightly diff dial & a flat-4 insert. for some, it is more collectible, others don't care much about it.

I just picked up my 16610LV F Series on Saturday! I ordered a 16610LV Z series a few years ago for $5200, but ended up passing on it when it arrived. We were purchasing a larger home so I passed on it. I have always looked for them in stores, but they were never to be found. As soon as they arrived they were sold. Last December my wife gave me the GREEN light to buy another watch. I could not decide between the Submariner and the Panerai 111. I ultimately let my 4 year old son decide for me seeing as he will one day inherit all of my watches. He chose the Panerai over the Rolex, because he liked the exhibition casing on the back of the watch.

Fast forward 5 months later when Rolex increases their princing the day we are at the mall. I told my wife that the green submariner is getting harder to come by and the prices are increasing. Last December I saw several 16610LV watches selling for around $4600. Now the prices are closer to $5800. My wife said that I could buy another watch, but I will have to take a break on buying watches for a little while.

I contacted my firend who owns a jewelry store and he sourced a clean 16610LV F series for me with boxes, papers, tags and bezel protector. All of the links were present and the watch was clean. Even the hologram is still on the back side of the watch intact.
I am glad to have found such a nice watch. many of my friends have the black submariner and I am the only one with the green. I like the green and wanted to be different!

Hi Johny, I also have a Orange and a Black Nato. I like being able to switch them around along with the original bracelet. I will have to take some pictures of the other ones.
