It's a needle in a hay stack?

Buy the seller and not the watch.

Have you searched our very own classifieds section? There were some amazing deals in here not too long ago.

I would suggest avoiding Ebay and looking at sellers with great reps on this and other forums.

There's no need to look on Ebay. There are great watches in near new condition with box and papers from the "For Sale" section on this site and other watch forums.

I would not do it as my first Rolex but after you gain some experience there can be good deals to be had.

You have to proceed cautiously and as someone else said buy the seller.

I have bought a couple of Rolex's off eBay and they were 100% legit and a great deal.

I have bought and sold many watches on ebay and forums.Keep this in mind the awesome deal might be a nightmare.Pay a fair price to a reputable seller.Or go to an AD pay the full boat and sleep at night.Rolex watches are very liquid for the right price. If you see real cheap and do not know Rolex's inside and out stay away.

Ebay Seller

Hopefully, I am not running afoul of a rule here.....

I have purchased six new Rolex watches from an outstanding seller on E-Bay listed under Usaveontime (Joel Rodriguez). He can also be found on the net at usaveontime.com

His watches were new, straight-up and Joel is a very reliable seller. He has enabled many like me to enter the wonderful world of Rolex watches at a very reasonable price. You can trust this person!

Best of luck!

You can't go wrong with this guy (Jon Todd). I have dealt with him for 8 years and 12-15 watches. He also offers a 2 year warranty on all Rolex watches he sells. He is always well below MSRP and no sales tax. He has new unworn as well as pre-owned with excellent deals on both. His posted prices are always negotiable and he ships everything overnight so you get it right away..........

Watches Etc. located in Oklahoma City, OKlahoma?

If that is the same one you are talking about then I can vouch for that, I been to his physical shop and met him before. Really helpful guy. His name is Charlie. I usually see 1-2 watchmakers at his place dissecting watches.

Local pawn shops can have great deals.

And you support your hometown economy.

Yes,

I have 5 Ebay sellers that are 100%. The deals are awesome and the service is flawless.

No, sorry, I can't tell you who they are.

ditto on the pawn shops, but as with ebay you need to be very familiar with the product you are buying.

I buy and sell quite a few on eBay, just have to be very careful, ask questions, and only buy from trusted sellers. I see fakes, heavily polished cases, fake bracelets, etc every day on there.
