Icon7 eBay Reputable Rolex Power Sellers

I am looking to replace a GMT with a Submariner, and interested in sellers on eBay and the discounted prices they offer. Does anyone have eBay Power Sellers they would recommend or stay away from?

Thanks for the help.

Some sellers I was looking at are: Beckertime, watchdoncorlione, u$aveontime, watch_chest, amorris9999

Looking at 18K/SS Rolex Submariner! BLUE DIAL SEL BRACELET16613, if you have one in great condition for sale please let me know.

Some of the sellers in the For Sale section on this site are just as good, if not better than what you will find on eBay!

I would definitely prefer to buy from one of the power sellers on this site. I just bought a Milgauss from DavidSW earlier this week, and I got a tremendous deal and a perfect watch!!! Don't mess with Ebay. There are way too many fishy deals.

Most of the watches from the Watchout! section are in regards to Ebay. Regardless of their "powerseller" status.....get to know the seller first. Even if it's a friendly; "How do you do." You're buying the seller, not the watch!

Hi and welcome

There's some good advice here

To avoid worry and heartbreak, forget Flea-Bay (sorry not dissing legit sellers) it's not a place for learners, try the For Sale Section here

He is very satisfied with him as are other fellow and ladies here. there are also some other sellers here that I can't remember their names but you will be safe here..... good luck!

Glad to hear you got dealt with appropriately via the watch empire. Unfortunately I wasn't... A lot of money for a watch which was blatantly advertised on their other website timeandgems.com as a customized watch was sold to me as a genuine factory rolex. Now I have to pick up the pieces via legal assistance in California. They sold it to me knowing it was not as described, after finding the item on various different websites and eBay it has been found they are blatant frauds with feedback being bumped consistently on eBay via purchases of 50c coupons! Trying to divert my attention to return the watch to an address in hong kong is even more ridiculous. Their feedback is not legitimate just as their businesses integrity or procedures. Stay away from Michael Davidi, Jason Smith and Ernesto Aguilar! You have been warned...

Buy from David SW on TRF. Just tell him what you want and he will find it at a great price.

EliteTime on eBay is legit. Gagan and Harry.

They are on ebay with two offices in NY and Boston.

I insisted upon checking the watch out first. I also insisted upon an inspection by a Rolex service center. They've been on eBay for years and they've got legitimate store fronts, and they were willing to go along with this.

Personally, I would have never bought a Rolex off the internet. Not without seeing it first.

That said, DavidSW has a good rep.

Again, personally, the only way I would ever pay for a watch before seeing it would be:

A: a seller with a great rep.
B: it is described as absolutely perfect.

add: I wouldn't want to leave damage up to a seller's interpretation. That's why I'd only accept perfect.

Ebay Seller

I would like to say watch_chest did me right on my last Rolex. With a 3 year warranty. Has a AWCI CW21 certified Rolex tech there as well in Branson Missouri. Also Pay with pay pal cause they have a free purchase protection policy that covers the whole price. Cant get that on TZ.

Good advice from all. I used to buy all my watches and eBay (and sell them too) but you have to do your home work. Get all contact information and call the personal to confirm identity and a gut feeling for the person. Ask for a land line or work #. I will not go with just a cell number. Ask for full name and address - if you can't get it stay away! Check out the seller via Google, Face Book, etc. Ask for more watch pictures to be sent to your email address with the date on a piece of paper next to the watch so you know they actually have it. And then use PayPal. I even bought a Daytona that way with no problems ever. I was actually more scared of buying watches off this site as a NEWBIE because wire transfers don't leave you much options if the deal goes south. But I have now bought close to 6 watches from the various long term sellers on TRF and feel very comfortable with them. No conerns any more. But I was intimidated by the process initially. Hope that helps Andrew

I have been on Ebay for ten years, good and bad thing have happened however I would not buy a Rolex watch on Ebay. I have read about horror stories on Ebay and sometimes it is not the sellers fault as they were scammed when buying a Rolex watch.

Any good Rolex seller would be happy to show you first hand the whole watch inside and out if they are on the up and up.

Research the Rolex watch you want and make sure you know the insides and outsides on the watch so when you do buy one you can make the correct choice and then you will be very happy.

I also try to stick to people who sell watches on a regular basis on eBay, have lots of feedback and are 100% or just a point shy of it and always check to see if they have sold big ticket watches in the past. If they have a B&M store - even better! Unfortunately, there are never any guarantees and I guess I have been one of the lucky ones with around 3 Rolex purchases on eBay (one from the UK) and several vintage Omega, IWC, Heuer, Hamiltons and Pulsar to name a few.
