Recently purchased this blue dial DJ on e-bay. Went for it because i liked the blue dial with the white roman numerals and hands. Had it checked locally and cnfimrmed that this is authentic.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270204178447 Puchased a couple of cartier santos automatics also from e bay and happy with purchases. I just have to trust the sellers through the feedbacks they receive. So far so good. Prices on the site are really a lot cheaper than purchasing these here in the Philippines. |

I meant authentic.... It's not how much you paid for your AUTHENTIC Rolex, it is how much it looks like you paid. |

I have had good luck with EBAY but I don't think I'd call it luck. Like my Daddy always told me, "If something sounds too good to be true it probably is." I don't have much desire for a brand new rolex. When I walk into an AD wearing one of my watches they still treat me like a valued customer/potential sale. I'm not a big fan of all the anti-fake branding efforts they go through. So good used is what I'm looking for. Do your homework and scrutinize everything in the ad. Contact the seller well in advance of the closing and don't get emotionally involved with the purchase. Never want it so bad you can't walk away. They made lots of watches. I've bought 5 rolexes on ebay and sold one and each watch was exactly as described. But I look at the sellers feedback, how long they've been selling and I avoid overseas unless they have tons of positive feedback.

Have you considered listing it in the For Sale forum here?

I've had very good experiences on Ebay buying from Interwatches, a Raymond Weil several years ago, and a Rolex Date recently. It helps, I think, to see pictures of the movement, deal with someone with substantial feedback, and expect a reasonable but not laughable price. If I wanted to buy brand new, I suspect I would head to an AD though; otherwise too easy to get what wasn't pictured.

I think you can use it but like everything else in life you have to do a little homework.
