Aquanaut 5165 Advice

Hey guys...I have long loved the aquanaut but the 5167 is just too big on my wrist. Case size is ok but shape of the tropical strap makes it fit bigger. I’m looking at what has been made previously in a smaller size and the 5165 is very intriguing. I have posted a WTB for this reference but any other suggestions on trying to source one?

I know it’s not as popular as it’s bigger brother but seems it would be a better fit for me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Travel to Asia countries such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, and etc.....

The last time I saw in those countries have a lot of preowned 5065 & 5165....

Now they can be very pricey since they are discontinued & collectables...

Good luck & happy hunting...

Thanks. I reached out to Michael Ashton but haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully one will pop up.

Not sure if this helps much but the 5167 fits better on my small wrist with the bracelet rather than the rubber strap. I have both.

Any other suggestions for reputable places to try in NYC (or elsewhere)? Going to be there for work tomorrow.

So, I’m still on the hunt but not coming up with much so far. There is one on chrono24 (other on there is sold) but the price is way high in Munich opinion (no certificate or origin either).

There appears to maybe be one for sale from Cherry Watch in Thailand so wanted to ask if any members have ever done any business with them. I’m be very cautious so wanted to see if anyone had insight on this company. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to get peoples thoughts on something. There is a 5165 for sale in NYC, fully priced, that includes just the extract and not the certificate of origin. Also, they polished the watch.

They are a reputable dealer but what do people think about it having been polished? Without many options available I can’t really compare at all.

Thanks in advance for any input.
