It's only a watch. only watch enthusiast will notice it...but most of them won't say anything. Most people that I know would call people crazy for spending over 5K on a watch.

But, my wife shares her stories about coworkers complimenting on her pieces though. I think most female likes to gossip and talk about non-sense :)

wear a short sleeve shirt, and look at model homes. The sales people definitely notice, if you think I'm wrong go and complete the investigation yourself. Then report your findings

I would agree with what others have said that car dealerships sometimes do.
That is the only place I have ever experienced it. They are however like sharks circling looking for any hint you may be in there to buy.

In normal everyday life people don't care. They certainly don't treat you any differently. Not in my experience.

I bought a No Date 14060 so people wouldn't treat me differently! It's working. Have had it 2 months and no one at works has even noticed.

Really any place where sales staff are trying to figure out who might be worthy of their time and effort are going to look for thing like a Rolex

me too. I have no problems wearing my watch with a suit at a wedding, but 90% of the time, I'm bumming around town. I seem to impress (or get snickered at) by family more then strangers and people in the community.

What smells good to some may not smell good to others.
My wife forces me to use some Chanel men’s cologne... I hate it but I put it on.

Most people are too busy looking at their phones to notice anything else.

I’m in sales, and occasionally I’ll notice the person I’m meeting with look down at my watch. Usually they’re wearing something nice as well.

From my experience I know people notice PM watch in the most cases but if anyoane ask me about my watch all other brand like AP, UN , Breguet don’t tell nothing to anyoane except when I say Rolex.
I think most of people know or hear about Rolex watch but only few know how this watch look.

No. Hopefully "they" don't notice whether I'm wearing a Rolex or Glashutte original or Tudor Date-Day.

Do people treat you different when you wear a Rolex?

Nope. Never. I would submit that the majority of the time the only one who knows what kind of watch I am wearing is me.

I buy and wear the watches I like for - me —- no one else.

And truth be told - if i was ‘treated’ any differently for wearing any brand of watch - in any way (good or bad) - I would not think very highly of it. Period.

I agree that when shopping for a car & looking at models homes in Florida they most definitely treat you differently when they see a Rolex.

I don't seek any attention and wear them purely for my personal enjoyment. To be honest I would get a bit nervous if a stranger out of the blue started commenting on my Rolex and would wonder what might follow next...ha! Others will disagree, and it all depends on your lifestyle, location, etc., but I do not wear expensive watches to work or visiting with relatives as it seems to create a negative vibe imho. Everybody is different though, so do enoy your watches as much as comfortably possible. Cheers!

I do disagree. I don’t get how wearing a nice watch creates a negative vibe. My experience is that nobody even notices.

I was at a lunch, when one of my mates checked his Apple Watch. He then began to talk about all of the things he does on his watch. A woman to my left replied, “what does your watch do, just tell time?”

I enjoyed a quiet chuckle...
