Lv Is On The Way

Ive had the OQ and the PAM for 2 weeks.
They are off to a trade :)

Im getting my mint F series LV in a day or two. Very happy.
Common guys, support me and tell me what a great decision.
I lost a bit of cash doing it but i just couldnt find buyers for either watch.
But if the university screws me any more, i have a highly liquid piece that commands 5kUSD consistently. Very happy.
Post pics of your LV, !!

Congrats on the LV and welcome to the maxi club!

It's my favorite modern piece.

Can I be honest with you? The LV is nice and all, but I think the hype has kind of died down on it, and truthfully, I'd advise someone to get a SS Sub Date new instead of a used LV. That being said I'm glad I have both

I agree, the hype is gone but I had a 16610 black.
I sold it because it just didnt smile at me
BEAUTIFUL WATCH
but not bling enough, no eye catcher. Everyone has one
This one I hope will be different. While I really liked the PAM, Im just not sure if it's worth the money. Im not sure as to yet if its a fad or a staple.
Who knows,
if this LV thing happens to fall through the roof I will say it was meant to be
if it comes here and everything is legit, the LV was meant for me :)
the more i see the more i like

Buying the LV is not a problem, depending on what you paid for the F series. What concerns me is the road you took to this purchase. You wasted $$$ on buying and selling the OQ and Panerai and you spent $1K on the servicing of the OQ.If you go and sit down, work out how much you lost and ad that to the purchase price of the LV,you get the amount, which the LV REALLY cost you. This is not the way to spend money on watches.I hope the LV is what you really want .... Seeing that you are busy with studies, its not really the best time in your life to waste $$$

That said,enjoy the LV,its a nice watch ....

I actually worked it out and I'm right on par here.
I'm a lawyer in the making
corporate ;)
of course i sat down and calculated it!
I lost a couple hundred bucks but Im sure we all do that on every watch we flip. I actually am pleased either way on this deal, if it comes here ok or if it was just a false deal. Doesnt matter. Im happy either way now

CANT wait to get this LV.
Ill post a million pictures :)

Congrats on the LV.

I love how you spoke with regards to the SS Sub-Date "Everyone has one".

Damn, does everyone have a Rolex these days????

Heavy Duty? YES

No doubt. Either way the LV does nothing for me...I don't see it as a "classic". It's GREEN for crying out loud!

I thought the same when I first heard about it. In person the green is very nice actually.

The again there was a time that people complained about other Rolex watches:

"The second hand is a lightning bolt! How dumb!"
"They changed the face on the Daytona again. It must be a dog."
"Get the new Sub with the crown protectors, it's an improvement!"
"They finally got rid of that ugly red writing on the watch!"

I finally saw one in person and it just wasn't for me. However, I love the maxi-dial. Pop a black bezel on there and it's a different thing entirely...far too green as is...I guess Kermit was right:

Good one Charles... I've noticed that color is a touch and go thing for many of us... there are some that I think are amazing and almost transcendent, while others (especially combinations) that I seriously have an aversion to...

I popped a black bezel insert on my LV. I swear it's still a great watch, however, I really think I'll change it back in a bit... maybe it's sitting too close to the SD in the watch case...

Now a green bezel SD would be nice.

If the OQ and Pam were not giving you the tingling happy feeling and the LV does, then you made the right decision. I love my LV. My wife did not like it at first and told me so. Now the green has grown on her as well and she can't imagine me having selected a different Rolex. Wear and enjoy in good health my friend.
