Insurance Appraisal Needed for RO 15300

Recently I went to an AP Boutique for an Insurance Appraisal (Royal Oak 153000) that I acquired six years ago. The response was "we are not able to provide any type of insurance paperwork for this timepiece as we no longer have this model in production".

Where should I go to get this document so I can submit to the insurance company? Thanks in advance.

Can you get/do you still have the receipt with the value/price of the watch? I've used receipts to get insurance from Jewelers Mutual. They take that or an appraisal.

you need to go to a jewelry valuer. Your insurance company can give you details of what type of credentials the person would need in order to be acceptable to them, but its always a good idea anyway to have discontinued items valued somewhat regularly to the appropriate market value since discontinued items tend to fluctuate.

Business keep records in computers and it doesn't cost anything to maintain them instead of getting rid of them.

BUT...in this case, I didn't notice that you noted the watch was from 6 years ago. The insurance probably wouldn't take the receipt anyway and would want a current appraisal.

Added: It shouldn't be too hard to find a professional appraiser. Just to go a jeweler that sells watches and ask them how much.
