I'm sure all you all work hard but I can see why people get frustrated with the way TRF is run and this shows that mods are equally to blame. It was a mod that spurted sarcasm at me that eventually led to my last post here on TRF well over a year ago. Of course, everyone sides with the mod, so what chance did I stand? I simply got more and more frustrated but I got a good view of how things run around here. I break my silence not to condone the actions of this ex-mod, but show others on the site that mods are not gods...

Back to my silence...

Seems you're still disgruntled, and carry a chip on your shoulder..?
Was there any real point to the post, or just the fact that you are still hurt by being addressed for a wrongdoing?

I certainly don't claim to be god, nor act like it. But I do wish God would give some a little common sense!

As for your comment on how TRF is run, you are free to not log back in, as it does seem your years hiatus has not deturbed your distaste.
Further more, if you feel the X member who replied to me via PM with that dribble of a diatribe response was warranted, you're clearly detached from real life......
God or not, you had no beef here on this thread other than to spread a little sour grapes. What a shame!

Actually your last post was a 'for sale' post.

Obviously you weren't offended enough to use TRF to try and sell your Explorer, right? So much for trying to take the moral high ground.

Because you have a bone to pick with another Mod, then all Mods deserve to be abused, right?

If you think the abuse Rob received in that email is acceptable, in any way shape or form, then you are in the vast minority.

In response to your last comment...silence is golden!

I apologise, I actually misread the original post, I thought JohnnyS was a mod abusing powers (read my last post back, you will see I referred to an "ex-mod"). I'm not holding any grudge, it was an honest mistake but I still hold true to my view that some mods refuse to apologise simply because they are mods.

My Explorer sold just fine thanks. I have no bones to pick with anyone and if you read my post properly, I was not agreeing with the abuse, I was simply emphasising what Rob has done to what I thought was another mod. It seems even when I agree with a mod these days, I am still wrong.

Wow that response is unbelievably rude. I can't imagine simple DM could cause this kind of reaction. Completely out of line.

Anyways this theory, that I find fitting to most Internet behavior, may shed some light on why people sometimes behave like this.

I'm very grateful for the great work mods are doing on this site. Always diligent to keep the conversation focused and civilized. Thanks guys.

Rob,

I had some correspondence with you in the past and I believe you are very professional and fair with the way you conduct your duties as a moderator.

His reply to you was simply uncalled for and demonstrates his ignorance. I guess he was having a bad year so far lol..

Sorry to hear this bud.

I don't always agree with the mods, or think they're right, but that's no excuse to talk to anyone like that!

Down with replicas! More strength and power to you guys. Not good and extremely disconcerting news. You are to be commended for your diligence. He is a jerk and not worth your time. Uncalled for and juvenile language and behaviour.

By the way, I don't condone the wanton abuse of power by administrators, either. But you run a tight ship and the brand is under attack at all times (they all are) as are the enthusiasts. This tightness is required and necessary due to the intensity and methodologies of the perpetrators. Though I have not been posting for long, I have been looking for ages. I only recently decided to wade in to the real discussion.

There is another string on here right now where one of the pathetic fakes of the Daytona "WINNER" category has again surfaced, complete with the grandfather story. It was nipped in the bud in super short order (sarcasm notwithstanding!). Very impressive and thank goodness. Also very obvious and easy to spot for even we novices, as was proven. Please, don't drop your guard!

Great job Rob! You kept your cool from such a rude response.

Most of us from Toronto are nice... Now i wonder what prompted such a response.

I can only guess at the amount of time & energy it takes for the mods to keep TRF rolling along smoothly. I think that dedication can easily be overlooked & often taken for granted. Especially, when you consider how the forum has grown. Imagine the work required behind the scenes that we never know about.

Well done once again & thanks to the mods for all you do!!!

We are BLESSED to have a forum that provides experience, knwledge and expertise. To abide by a few simple *reasonable* rules is not much to ask by the administrators. It truly sickens me that people act in such a repulsive manner.

And, I don't say this often enough: keep up the stellar work Mods! Your pal, Mark
