Enjoy it for what it is - a gift from your father.

Spot on there, Bill and I would suggest that, at the end of the day, this is far more important that whether it 'is' or isn't' a true MB

Personally, Gaby, I think it looks really good and has a great story behind it.

In later life, you may, as you say, purchase one yourself, but it will never replace the one that you have already

Enjoy it Gaby - you clearly love it!

Well, Gaby, whatever it is your father gave it to you and that's a great thing. Something to cherish forever.

I've had mine in excess of 20 years.....I love it. Use it every single day of my life. It, my Tudor Sub and Ray Bans are constant companions. Can't make it through a day w/out them.

Enjoy yours!

I think it looks great and the fact that your father gave it to you makes it that much more special... I have been overseas quite a few times and have had my fair share of "questionable authenticity" pens and watches and other items... so what! Enjoy them!

I have to agree. If my father gave me a pen it would have that value regardless of its origin.
