Not all M serial numbers have engraving on the chapter ring. Guess it is because it's a transitional period for the chapter ring engraving on subs, sea dweller and a few others.

Err buddy Springer...so far Orchi has seen few genuine Rolex without engravings on the chapter ring...on early Z series of 2006....n those Z Series of 2007 should already have the engraving...including the imprinted coronet above 6 o'clock marker on the sapphire crystal...

The last of 14060 Submariner Non-Date Non-COSC(now discontinued) has got holes on lugs...n Orchi believes they remain without the engraving on the chapter ring...n SEL endlinks..

ALL M Series that Orchi has seen so far...do have the engraved chapter ring...except for 16600 SD M series...

Buddy Orchi, better look around, they all don't have the engraved ring on the M. Just bought one two days ago, M series with no engraved ring - from an authorized Rolex dealer. I'd say it's 50/50 with/without. I've seen M subs, sea dwellers and GMT II's without the engraving.

Maybe they are all engraved where you live but not in the ole USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

M GMT-II 16710 don't have RRR.
M Seadweller don't have RRR. at least I have not seen one.
Unless Rolex missed some, Submariners starts to have RRR in late Z-serials.

Err buddy Springer...Orchi would agree 16600 M series or prior...would NOT have the engraving as they never did have engraving on the chapter rings for 16600 Sea-Dweller...n GMT II 16710...

Orchi also believes...the last of the discontinued GMT II 16710...would be Z Series(2007)...Orchi has never seen any M series(2008) GMT II 16710...because it was discontinued at Z Series...where some of them even come with Cal. 3186 movement(parachrom blu mainspring)...which is the same latest movement for the all new GMT II with Ceramic bezel 116710..introduced from Z Series 2007...onwards with engraved chapter ring.

Other than those...Orchi would not buy the idea of having any later Z series(2007)...n M series(2008) 16610 or LV Submariner...IF it has NO engraving around the chapter ring...no way.

Early Z series(2006) yes...may come without engraving...but in Orchi's opinion from later Z series(2007)...ALL Submariner...Explorer II...14060M COSC...would have the engraving on the chapter ring...same same as 116520 Cal.4130 Daytona...(that said...not sure about Explorer I though)
