Icon4 Is there something wrong with the Classified search function?

Been noticing while searching thru classifieds, many ads don't get picked up - anyone else notice this?

Here is an example:

Viewing the forum right now, you can clearly see an ad by user "G-WEB" 3rd from the top:

Then immediately searching for "submariner" but yet the ad doesn't show up in search..check the time stamp at the top of the page - but yet the first ad relating to "Submariner" is from ponycar350 on Feb 21

anyone else having this issue?

Sometimes just one single word is not enough.

May I join in this conversation, please?
Is the search script looking at case sensitive?
If subject word has a cap and the same word is only searched on lower case, would that make a difference on results retrieved? Seems like when I was searching for a subject using only lower case, I did not find what I was looking for. Then, when after I received suggestions, I did find the one word result, but the result had a cap as the first letter, which did not appear when I only searched lower case. Maybe just me??

Do quotation marks make a difference around the one word being searched, ie. "submariner".... Would that consistently facilitate better results?

Thank you,
Have a great day!

I was just going to post the same question. I recently posted an add for a two-tone sub, reference # 16613. I have 16613 both in the title and the add body but it doesn't appear in the list of a search for 16613. I was also looking for similar watches to help get a ballpark on price and condition and half of the 16613's don't appear in a search. Whats up?

Yes plenty show up. But only 5 in the last month. If you go back and look manually through each post there are a dozen+ 16613's clearly stated in the body of the ad that *don't' appear in the search, including mine.

Respectfully, if you have something productive to add to help the problem I'm sure we'd all love to hear it. No doubt the folks who have watches for sale and those looking to buy a specific item would appreciate having them actually appear when searched for.

Well I just done a search for Black/Gold Submariner 16613 and yours was top of the list with around 200 more.
