Small complaint on Tudor Pelagos
Anyone with large wrist considering the Tudor Pelagos better not be planning on using rubber strap or be committed to purchasing an alternative option. First I am not bashing the watch I absolutely love it and would buy it again. My disappointment is based on the fact this watch popped on my radar because I wanted to add something to the collection I could wear exclusively with a rubber strap. I have several steel bracelet and leather strapped watches but due to a life style of lots of time on and in the water I really wanted a good watch with quality OEM rubber strap. I tried the watch on at the AD titanium bracelet was awesome and comfortable to wear however when I tried on the rubber strap I could only get it on in the first hole and that was tight and uncomfortable. I asked the AD if I bought the watch could I get a longer factory strap. They assured me no problem but it might take a few weeks to come in. Fast forward one week and I get a call from AD and I am informed there is no longer strap just a third extension band. I picked up my 3 piece band with an open mind and when I swapped out the bracelet I find out the strap is to big with the extension. So now I still have no rubber strap watch which has me a little frustrated to say the least, the extension is absolutely useless other than maybe wearing your watch over a wetsuit. The good news the titanium bracelets comfort and weight of the watch for its size make it a joy to wear daily. I just wanted to vent and offer a lil buyer beware for anyone else who might run into this problem.

its frustrating. my concern is you should have got the extension band with the watch to begin with...it is more for a dry suit. how big is your wrist?
alternatively you could try a rubber B or the other aftermarket rubber i forget the name.

I have the pelagos blue, and I think the rubber strap is uncomfortable compared to the bracelet anyway. As above, maybe a good aftermarket strap may be the answer although I couldn't see either Everest or rubber b doing one for the pelagos.....

Yeah I probably will eventually go aftermarket although I have never really been a fan of buying aftermarket straps except for my Panerai. Wrist size is 8 1/2 so most people probably not gonna have the same problems as me. Titanium bracelet is fantastic and will probably wear more comfortable than any rubber strap anyway. If i knew about the rubber strap issue before I purchased I still would have this watch, its really well done.

Pelagos rubber is too short and smells funky. A poor effort.

I too have large (8+") wrists and I find almost all stock factory rubber straps to be wanting.
The Pelagos bracelet is jsut so good that I really don''t wear it any other way. The only exception being when I occasionally break down and wear it on a zulu. |

Bumping this thread....
Just put on the rubber strap for the first time on my Pelagos... Definitely too short. I'm on the last hole on left wrist without any slack and no-go on my right wrist. Dive suit extension isn't useful or really intended for bare wrists. Seems kind of strange how short the Tudor rubber strap is and how useless the diving extension is for anthing other than true drysuit diving. RubberB doesn't show a Pelagos application. Perhaps the other Tudor straps would fit, I sent them a quick email. |

Whats the big deal? Everest or rubber b? They’re usually better than OEM anyway, and cheaper...

I was in ocean all day yesterday and wore the titanium bracelet. No issues whatsoever. Probably won’t use the rubber again now.
