SS Daytona Patrizzi before and after
Ten years ago I posted this pic of my SS Daytona that I got used from an AD in Atlanta.
Look at the Patrizzi changes ten years later. Cant wait to see what the next ten years will bring. |

Here is better picture.
The watch is worn sparingly and otherwise stored in a watch case not exposed to sunlight. I think the owners of these watches would prefer the term oxidation instead of rusting to explain what is happening to the dial. |

I paid $8000 for the watch. At that time MSRP for a brand new SS Daytona was about $8500.
The AD knew it was a Zenith Daytona but did not charge a premium for it and did not make a big fuss about it. It was only a few years later when the dial started to change that I realized what a true find this was. I think all SS Daytonas will continue to increase in value. It just seems now that the older Zenith models are on fire right now. |
