18238 string dial
Dear friends,
Can anyone pls have a look at this dial and comment if the print of the letters seem poorly done? Especially the 2 Es for Perpetual and the word Certified. The diamond and ruby setting seems ok, but the print seems a bit off or is it just me. Any advise will be truly appreciated. Thank you. Sent from my SM-N975F using Tapatalk |

The printing looks ok to me. Keep in mind, dials were farmed out to multiple companies and were quite inconsistent during the 70s, 80s and into the 90s.
The only way to know 100% is to remove the dial from the movement and look on the back of the dial for the manufacturing mark and how the diamonds were applied to the dial.
