5 digit and 4 digit Pepsi - 904 L?

Hi - I have been a member of the forum for awhile but only have ever purchased modern Rolexes.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about 16710 GMT Master M series...as well as the 4 digit references.

When did Rolex start using 904L on the case and bracelet for these pepsi watches?

What is the quality if the bracelets and clasps? I know some people complain that the claps are more tin like than the modern versions?

Thanks for any clarification.

Rolex started using 904L in 1987 with the reference 168000. Only for the cases; the bracelet counted to be in 316.
