I’m by no means a deep hip hop fan, but the new Run The Jewels album, ‘RTJ4’, is a home run. https://youtu.be/GG8LcqR1kqw

The Australian group The Avalanches' 2000 masterpiece Since I Left You. It's my favorite summer album.

I've always liked this music video:

I agree, that album really is a masterpiece, so original and evocative. Got to see them at an Australian music festival shortly after this was released, and it was like a good circus. As with the album, they also poured everything into their live show.

That's awesome! I wish I would've seen them live after they released Wildflower several years ago.

The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld by The Orb is another classic I was listening to today. They use samples from NASA's Apollo program. I think they got them from the 1989 documentary For All Mankind, which in itself is worth watching, as it is entirely composed of real NASA footage from the Apollo program. Both the album and the documentary make me want an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Maybe someday! I haven't looked into them recently, but it sounds like the basic Moonwatch might be getting an updated -- possibly retro -- movement soon. Someone may want to fact check this.

Man, Little Fluffy Clouds is an old favourite here, another nice call.
Thanks for the NASA documentary recommendation. I didn’t know about it and will check it out. I just bought a 2019 hesalite Speedy Pro last Thursday, it’s my first Omega.

This morning I put on Daft Punk’s ‘Discovery’. Had forgotten how much I love some of those songs, especially Face to Face.

I will have to check out The Avalanches’ follow-up; for some reason, I never did.

"Frankie Sinatra" got a lot of airtime, but I think "Subways" is a better song from The Avalanches' last album.

That Daft Punk album/song is great. My favorite Daft Punk song is probably "Giorgio by Moroder" from their last album.
