What do you collect (beyond watches and cars)?
I have been collecting pre Vietnam American military related items for 30 yrs. However my new favorite thing is fossil hunting. I have quite a few job sites that produce fossils. Everything from sharks teeth to a whale from just behind the head and the 11 vertebrae behind it.

I collect watches, camera equipment and wine. With a bit of scotch and bourbon thrown in.

Wow ! What an amazing collection of fossils.
Are these found in FL ? For myself I don’t really collect too much, but I do like to keep little mementos from life’s special moments.

I have a small collection of fountain pens -- primarily Montblanc and Pelikan. My pen collection actually predates my watch collection. Are there any other pen collectors?

There is a "Pens" subforum near the bottom of the main page.

Nice bike collection. I’ve got a Honda CBR 1000rr fireblade that’s a garage queen now because it’s so deadly around here to actually ride it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a few fountain pens but nothing special. I think they’re all shaefers (sic). I do have a collection of cross pens and pencils. I love going to garage and estate sales and buy anything that strikes my curiosity or I can make money on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The only place I’m allowed to ride (had to make a compromise with my old lady) is the Isle of Man. We are planning on going in the next few years. I’m not going to enter the race but I’m certainly going to have a few spirited laps around during practice. The question is do I ship my bike over there or do I just rent one? Bourbon I guess. I spend way too much buying that for whatever reason.

Longtime wine collector. Just divested myself of 700 bottles, and I still have over 1500 remaining.
Bourbon is a more recent hobby, though I wish I’d started at the same time as wine. Stopped collecting sneakers many moons ago, but too lazy to try and sell off my collection.

My wife try to collect bottles of wine. Key word there is try’s. We have a white wine fridge and a red wine fridge. And both are empty until she gets her monthly shipment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For some reason I buy faster than I can drink. For me, bourbon is a cheaper hobby than watches so I get some enjoyment chasing bottles. Just something to pass the time.

Hahaha.
I was waiting for that response. German made corkscrews, made between 1890-1920. Celluloid handles. They do make some recent reproductions if you become interested in them. Sent from my moto z4 using Tapatalk |

They’re cool but I’m more than happy with all the corkscrews I’ve accumulated that’s don’t even get used lol. Thanks for the lesson though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m pretty sure I have a super early corkscrew that maybe you’d know something about.

She has zero desire to go into our cellars, and I took her to my offsite storage cellar only recently (in case anything should ever happen to me). There’s a 200+ bottle wine fridge in our kitchen that she and her friends can drink whatever they’d like from, and another 100 or so bottles in the pantry. She always makes sure to ask me if bottles are for collecting or drinking when I bring any home. When she saw the wire transfer amount for the bottles I sold, she realized I wasn’t lying to her when I said they were part of our investment portfolio........

Morgan dollars, other coins. I have less than zero interest in cars and firmly believe that all traffic laws should be followed.
