5968 Owners

Im wondering if any 5968 owners can chime in and help me figure out how massive the 5968 really is.

Background: I wear a 5990 daily along with a 15202st and feel the size is just right. I own 41mm AP's but feel i need the bracelet to be super snug in order for it to look right on my wrist.

I have tried on a 5164 and 5167 and they fit just fine...im wondering if the lug to lug/height of the 5968 is THAT much larger on the wrist compared to to a 5164 or even a 39 Royal Oak?

Anyone need wrist shots? lol

Love it. I think it’s the perfect size. But I prefer bigger watches and I have numerous 42 mm Pateks that I prefer. For reference I’m 6’4, 215 pounds.

The 42mm Aquanauts wear smaller than the 41mm ROs in my opinion. I have the 5968 and 5168, and both are fine on my 6.75 wrist. I also have a 15400, and that one I don‘t wear because it wears too big for me...

IMHO 5968 (In your face timepiece) if your wrist size is under 7.5 inch.....

I was keen on getting a 5968 and tried it on at the Salon in Geneva to figure out how it looks on my 6.5+ inch wrists. Not impossible, but clearly borderline... This combined w the movement trouble of one of the members here had my interest cool in the mean time. Fun watch but not on my must have list anymore.

The 5990 is perfect for a smaller wrist like mine. The 5968 wears bigger in my view but because it doesnt have an integrated steel bracelet, it wears smaller than you expect from a 42.2mm watch.

You think could work for 6.5?

These are small differences and it isn’t an exact science. It all depends if you are comfortable with a watch that is rather big. I am not, and the 15400 is too big for me. The 5968 just still works for my taste, but it is on the edge.

Here the 5968 when I tried it on at my AD. Big, but not too big for my taste.

I have a 7 inches wrist. I think you can carry it since you wear 5990 daily.
