BLRO or BLNR?

Simple question. Assume both on oyster

Pepsi or Batman

My AD has told me he can get me one in the next six months.

BLNR for me personally. Having seen both in person multiple times, the blue is much more vivid (think not purple) compared to the BLRO insert. I feel like the BLNR also pairs better with most attire. I had originally requested the BLRO but voted with my wallet this year and got the BLNR on jubilee and have no regrets about my choice. Nine months later and still so glad I did. That being said, if Rolex could get the Pepsi insert to be vivid colors like the aluminum inserts of old, I would sack up and buy one of those, too.

I went with BLNR in the end as it's a better daily watch for me to wear to work Mon-Fri......I think BLRO is too flashy, and didn't like the colorway as it doesn't look true blue or red

Same here, BLNR is my recommendation. As others have said, the colours are right and just seems right for everyday wear. 20230912_140228.jpg

BLRO. I had both briefly, sold the BLNR three weeks after acquiring the other because I knew I wouldn’t wear it anymore.

I own a 126710 BLNR.

I love it, it is my favorite watch in my humble collection.

That said, as over the moon as I was to get the call, I think I would preferred a BLRO. For me it's the heritage of the BLRO that makes the difference. There are advantages of the BLNR (as have been mentioned), but the Pepsi is really special.

My vote would be BLNR also. Love mine. Colors are perfect. Something about the colors on the modern Pepsi that I just don’t love.

… now the 5 digit Pepsi(s) are a different beast. Perfection!

BLRO or BLNR?

I prefer the BLNR and that’s what I have, but I must admit that when I saw the BLRO in person, it was stunning. Much nicer in real life than on the internet. That’s for sure. Either way, I still prefer the BLNR.

On oyster I’d actually go with the BLNR. I can’t believe I said that as a huge BLRO fanboy. Jubilee is a different story of course.

If you're deciding between the Pepsi and Batman, both are fantastic choices. The Pepsi has that classic red and blue bezel, while the Batman has a sleek black and blue bezel. It really comes down to your personal style and preference. Whichever one you choose, I'm sure it'll be a great addition to your collection!

I vote BLNR (clearly the open market values the BLRO more, but this is the one for me)

Great question and I’m not surprised to see opinions split down the middle as they’re both great watches.

I’ve purchased both in the last month from my London AD and can say without question that i prefer the Pepsi on Jubilee, which I did not expect as the Batman on Oyster has been on my mind for almost 10 years now lol

The main reasons for this are often down to the fact that I have the new Submariner and therefore the BLNR is actually too similar. The bezel is very subtle so often looks black and the PCL on Oyster picks up scratches immediately 🫣 ( I mean , how clothing scratches steal is beyond me lol )

The BLRO is a totally different look with the bezel colours being much more vibrant and Jubilee, not only being more dressy, but also hides the scratches perfectly so ironically can be worn more often than the Oyster if that thing bothers you.

I’ll wear the Submariner daily and save the BLRO for nicer occasions including using as my ‘dress watch’ .

Neither one nor the other. I don't like colored bezels.

Here it is!

Asked my AD to put me on the BLRO list and was offered a BLNR. Great watch, looks much better in person. I declined and waited. I can't tell which you like best. I think the BLRO looks particularly good on Jubilee. You do you.

Like ‘em both, but in SS, I like them on jubilee for the most part. I’d take the BLRO if given the choice of only one.

I am able to enjoy both. Was able to get the BLNR 10 years ago when it first was available from DSW. I really like the blue/black combo with the SS. I wasn’t originally attracted to the BLRO until I saw one on a Jubilee last year at the boutique that I found stunning and brought it home. The blue is darker on the BLRO and the red is red. I guess it is a so called mark III bezel. In any case a tough call that also depends on what else is in a collection.

BLNR (on Oyster) for me by a mile.

Both are great, but while the BLRO has the history, the BLNR colours are, and always have been, done right.
