INCOMING... Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Flyback Chronograph

Just got my 45mm Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Flyback Chronograph on the stainless steel bracelet! Very excited about this one and it perfectly compliments my 43mm Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe on kevlar strap. I love my little Blancpain family, I’m really addicted to Blancpain.

And I just love how it came with the perforated kevlar strap so I can go between stainless and kevlar! This was a pleasant surprise I wasn’t expecting!

Thanks! Having it on the bracelet is how I could justify buying a second FF

Love it! I’d bet you’ll be hard pressed to see another one in the wild too which in my book is a plus.

Even my boutique only has it on the strap!

Congratulations! Awesome watch. Chrono works well on a big watch. Just the right balance.

Agreed. This is why I opted for the 3 hand Bathyscaphe and Chrono FF in 45mm.

After having this for a few days, it is such a lovely piece in every way and has incredible wrist presence. I’ve received a number of compliments and it’s the only watch I’ve ever had people comment on publicly. My only gripe is no hacking seconds, but it’s okay because slight rearward pressure on the crown when unscrewed will stop the seconds subdial to enable perfect synchronization. I love it!

I can’t edit my above post for some reason, but one additional comment I have is that this is a true adventure watch. It is the only haute horology watch in my collection that I feel no qualms in taking into every environment and abusing it, knowing it will take a beating. I just love it.

Congrats.. I love my fifty fathoms - such an underrated watch that doesn’t quite get the attention it deserves!

BIG congratulations and on a bracelet too

I have yet to see a bracelet version here, but I’d love to be able to try one on someday.

Enjoy it

The bracelet is incredibly comfortable and beautifully finished. Every detail down to the dual folding clasp and rigidity of the chassis is just superb. The bracelet is superior in both comfort and quality to the bracelets on my old Rolex GMT and Sub.

I cannot recommend this watch enough and the 45mm wears appropriately, it is Not overly huge and I have 6.95” wrists.

Anyone considering a Rolex or other dive/tool watch, but who wants something in a package of true haute horology, should consider this Blancpain example.

After this being on the wrist for the last week or so, I can unequivocally say that the Blancpain chronograph is among the smoothest and most enjoyable to use of any other chronos I’ve tried, including Patek chronos.

Not that it's a good habit to do anyways but can you operate the chronograph underwater?

I don’t know to be honest. I imagine if I ask Blancpain at the boutique they will advise against it, but I imagine you can. Not sure.

Marc Hayek said yes in an interview on Watch Advisor.

Absolutely beautiful piece! Blancpain is drawing me in. Your post isn’t helping matters. Lol.
