Glashutte Seventies Date or Chrono

I wonder if anyone has any experience with both of these watches. I have been wanting to acquire a Seventies Chronograph, square case, but the thickness of the case is over 14mm and was thinking it could be too think. There are no shops local for me to try one on or see in person.

The Panorama Date is thinner at around 11.5mm case thickness.
I think I can live without the Chrono function but the Chrono has 70hr power reserve, date only is 40hr power reserve.

Does anyone have experience with the Glashutte Original Seventies Chronograph thickness? or comparing the Chrono vs Date only? Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks

Was in the same spot and went with the Date model. 14mm thickness was a bit too much for me. The watch wears large - parted with it but miss it once in a while.

I’ve the date model and really like it. It’s a thick watch for sure but that’s part of its appeal to me. The quality of this watch is very high and I would strongly recommend it.

I have the chrono on order and the thickness does not scare me at all.
Hope to have it soon. It is such a beautiful watch.
