Great image, Jocke. An inspired use of a tiny spot of light upon the lollipop of the second hand.

It makes me wonder why watch hands are called “hands” when they resemble fingers...

And the running seconds finger is the most interesting - reminiscent of a few lines of verse by Omar Khayyám which can be adapted to that ever moving finger.

The Moving Finger passes; and, having passed,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Second,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Minute of it.
