New Offshore Addition

As some are aware, I went back and forth on what Offshore to get as I wanted to add one to my collection given that we're now living in a land of "work from home casual".

I had a temporary love affair with the new Camos, but couldn't get allocated a blue one from an AD. Green could have become a reality, but at the very last minute I balked. I couldn't pull the trigger on that kind of watch having never seen it or worn it in the flesh. I was almost sold though by all the people on here that praised both models.

When things get back to normal, I plan to visit the boutique and take a really good look at various Offshores to get a better sense of how they wear. I think for the smaller wrist guy, you need to see these in the flesh and that's just not possible right now and it creates some hesitation...at least for me.

But, for now, I went with something I'd tried in the past and I found myself drawn back to it. So, I pulled the trigger on the Ghost:

Good choice! Grey goes with everything! I passed on a green camo too because I only preferred a blue. In the meantime I wear my grey Ti44 as a daily.

Looks great Scott! It seems that the 44mm ROOs get more love than the 42mm iterations around here, but I prefer the fit of the 42mm Offshores on my 6.75" wrist. I've been torn between the Ghost, Vampire (with ceramic bezel), and the newer transitional titanium model with caliber 2385.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I was a bit worried about the "monotone" nature of this watch, but it really has many different looks based on the lighting. Also, it's truly a pleasure to wear. It's a big watch for me for sure, but it's light as a feather. I also ordered some additional rubber straps from Horus, so I'll have an ability to spice it up a little bit and will post pics when I get them.

This is the SAME battle I had after I finally ruled out the Camos. I like the Vampire too, but at the end of the day I thought the Vampire was a bit too sporty for me and would limit when I would wear it. It really just depends on your personal style I think. I also am trying to get the 26480ti, but there seems to be a wait right now. I'm sure if you have a solid relationship the wait would be days, but hopefully with things opening up a bit it won't be long.

Agree really like the white strap - Thanks for posting that. I ordered white, black, gray, and "Miami Blue" from Horus. Can't wait to see how they work...

Huge congrats and welcome to the club! You will love it! I'm curious, do you have yours on the standard strap on the smallest hole? If so is that fit ok or is it still too loose?

Thanks! Yes, I have it on the last hole and it works well for me (6.5" wrist size). It is maybe just a bit loose at times (depending on weather, etc.) but not to any point where I'd really want it any tighter. Note, this is on the AP band that it came with.

As I mentioned above I have some straps coming from Horus and will post back some photos as well as how those straps fit.

Huge congrats! Big fan of the ghost - actually need to get down to the AP boutique when everything settles down and check one out in person. Love the proportions and the colors just really work.
