Authenticity check

I just purchased a DJ 16014 from a trusted seller on the forum and have a couple of days to inspect and return if not satisfied. I'd appreciate feedback to confirm authenticity as there are so many good fakes popping up these days. To my eye, the case, dial, and hands look good but please comment.

I question if the bracelet is fake, as the markings on the clasp are different than most. Here are my concerns:

-There is a small extra crown in the lower right corner. I know this has been discussed before with an excellent post by Springer suggesting many of these bracelets with the extra crown are fake.
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=55405

-There is a letter R which suggests the bracelet is dated ~1993, but there is no number. I know the bracelet is new and not "born" with the head, but should there always be a number corresponding to the production month?

-An internet search reveals only a few comparable clasps with the off-set version of "Registered Swiss Made."

I can return the watch so I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance for your input.

Clasp looks good, and no, there isn't always a production month on these old clasps. Here's a similar but older genuine clasp on one of my (former) Jubilees without a production month. Not uncommon.

Coronet usually means service replacement clasp.

Hi Aaron, thanks for your feedback and for sharing that pick of your old clasp. Is there a problem with the offset wording, "Registered Swiss Made" and the missing "Patented"? That looks odd to me.

Thanks Haywood. Good to hear from you and thanks for your help. I thought that service clasps had an additional S along with the year. Does this vary like so much else from Rolex?

I think the clasp pic you showed is dated at “H” for 1983 on most lists.

Maybe you meant to attach a different one?

Non-issue. The wording and placement changed a little through the years.

No, there are two different clasps, the OP's and then mine, just to show a similar (albeit older) example.

Yes, I understand. The OP’s was R code. Then you showed yours saying no code. But the picture shows H code. That’s where some confusion cropped up.

See the close up of your photo I posted earlier.

Yes, that was the point. The OP was asking about a number code (for the month) that is sometimes next to the letter code (for the year). Both clasps have the letter code but are missing the month/number code, which is not that uncommon on these old clasps.

This is common. Most likely they just removed the word patented from the stamp making the clasp blades when the patent expired.
