Skyfall vs. Master Skyfall - Aesthetics Side by Side Photo Comparison

Due to a bunch of inquiries, I took the time to shoot the two next to each other and figured I'd post up a side by side comparison.

We know the differences and/or similarities between them from a mechanical and conceptual stand point... so this is just a study in aesthetic comparison.

Movement aside, the biggest differences are the date box window & polished center links vs. all brushed bracelet.

These are of the 41.5mm variation.

Great comparison shots, Matt! Thanks for sharing these with us. Do you have any shots of the two case backs?

Thank you sir.

These are both from my new watch inventory so I can't peel off the stickers... the best I can show you is this, lol.

Master Co-Axial on top... not much a difference even if the stickers were removed.

That's what I wanted to see, thanks! I had no idea the movement number remained the same. Pretty much just the new testing standards is all for the movement. The funny thing is I would be happy with either lol.

Both are nice, however the framed date window and all-brushed bracelet tips the scales in favor of the original Skyfall for me!

I like both, for different reasons. I'm honestly split.

For the old Aqua Terra, it has the balanced face with the date box outline for sure... but I actually do like the newer face as well as it has a Spartan minimalistic look to it that represents a progressive feel to the Aqua Terra line.

As for the polished vs. brushed bracelet, I again am split and see both sides of the coin. If I were to wear this with smart casual or business casual (aka button down dress shirt / polo shirt, etc....) I would probably opt for the brushed bracelet. But if I were to wear this with a suit, I would opt for the polished center links.

I could honestly see owning both and picking up one over the other for whatever dress/occasion I'm going to.

Another vote for original. PCL's are just a PITA.

I had choice between both and went with original due to the framed date and all brushed bracelet.

Thanks mdgrwl for the comparison....it is a good quick comparison for people interested in the pieces. I myself went with the original also.....just a spectacular watch and like you said, winners both ways:

The Omega crowd isnt crazy about PCL, however they dont seem to bother the Rolex folk at all... so many popular models with PCL like the BLNR Batman, Daytona, Datejust, etc... etc... perhaps because Rolex models in general have just a touch mkre bling?

The good thing about PCL is its easy and inexpensive to have the entire bracelet brushed...

The brushed bracelet and framed date window is, IMO, where the AT peaked aesthetically. Ever subsequent version has seemed to, in one way or another, ever so slightly, missed the bar set by this version. My biggest regret is not having pulled the trigger after trying one on.

Those are nice. I also like the new AT41 with the 8900 movement. I really like the grey dial with the blue leather strap. It would go well since I have the AK on Black Everest the DJ41 on bracelet and the Omega on leather would fit nicely. I getting to know more about the Omega brand and like what I've read. May be my next watch..

True, but Matt did sell a blue 39mm AT (framed date and satin center links) from his site earlier this year. It lasted about a week before someone snapped it up.

Very nice. I'd put the bracelet from the right on the watch on the left and it would be perfect! Can't go wrong with either though.

Of course the new versions have the date at six and the dial patterns go horizontal instead of vertical.

Can anyone verify if the blue shade of both dials are the same?
