Brazen theft in NYC

Reading through the news and came across this article. Brazen theft in the middle of the day in NY diamond district at Avianne & Co. Guess that's what happens when your tired of the waiting lists and can't get anything but on a serious note, glad everyone is safe that's the important thing and I'm sure the scumbags will get caught soon, 47th street is riddled with security cameras. Article below.

That's a nice video.

Someone will drop a dime on these guys before the day is out for the right price.

Yep for sure, video inside the store is really clear and along the whole 47th street there's a ton of cameras that would have caught which way they headed so can't imagine it'll take long before their caught. Just crazy that such an attempt was done in the middle of the day noon on a Sunday even for NYC that's bold

The same witness who is giving cowboy hats a bad name described the perps as Ohio Mennonites (Clearly they're Northern Kansas Amish). It's a fedora, BTW.

Saw this and it’s chilling what could have happened as the crew appeared armed.

Years ago my nearby AD had a similar armed heist during the day. They installed a sally port and always have a Uniformed Deputy (paid through the Sheriff) staffed at all times.

This may be a step for many who have the goods that attract these insects.

Something off about that robbery, and maybe I’m wrong but video looked staged IMO. Racking the slide after pulling the gun in a planned robbery looks very Hip Hop videoish.

I'm glad nobody was hurt here. What a bunch of idiots. I'm looking forward to the update that the NYPD has all of them in custody. They should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Lol at the dude in the suit racking the slide for dramatic effect... notice how he shifts between hands like he’s holding his cell phone. These guys are a threat to themselves as much as their victims.

At least 2 of the 3 perps look like they’ve had some facial prosthetics, along with wearing some garish wigs. Wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 took steps to change their appearance before entering the boutique.

Suspects had some difficulty leaving the scene.
The trio of armed robbers wanted for swiping an estimated $4 million in jewelry from a New York City store in a brazen, broad daylight robbery, attempted to make their getaway by hailing a taxi — but they reportedly couldn't find a cab driver who would stop to pick them up.

Law enforcement sources who spoke to the New York Post this week say they learned about the bungled effort after reviewing surveillance video and talking to witnesses. The men are reported to have tied up workers at Avianne and Co. located in Manhattan’s Diamond District on Sunday.

“Nobody would pick them up,” a New York City Police Department official told the newspaper. “They seemed to have it all worked out, except how to get away.”

ahh man what a bunch of dummies had it all figured out except for one minor detail, the getaway lol. although im surprised they would choose a cab, some of those street get so congested that you can probably crawl faster, tho it was on a sunday. ehh give it a few more days they'll all be caught.

Heard this may have been an inside job. They went through a large renovation and nobody is ever in the shop.

Two suspects possibly identified. I predict jeweler as well as fake robbers will all be under arrest by Xmas.
