it probably does compete. I go off road hardly ever and if i liked it i would have considered switching.

G wagon, RR, Defender can probably do pretty much any off road you would ever do and be luxury at the same time.

I agree it probably doesnt compete with other luxury SUV that are basically cars ...as almost all of them are

Yes - I am sure it will compete in respect to its off road ability with most other 4x4s and would expect it to be way better than the FFRR.

It’s not designed to compete as a high end luxury vehicle (which as you rightly say are mostly cars with off road ability) – JLR have the RR for that market and to a lesser extent the RRSport and Discovery.

Its starting price is half that of the RR and when the commercial 90 version comes out I expect it to be an even bigger margin.

F it I laid a deposit. Might keep the Land Cruiser too depending on what the wife wants. I am 10th in line in my small market dealer. Apparently they took deposits from customers as far as 3 years ago lol. Still deciding whether to equip it or strip it.

Is this the Land Rover P-01?

I have mixed feelings about it. Like the watch, it’s looks will probably grow on me.

LR been teasing it for some time and everyone knew it was coming eventually. Just simple fully refundable deposits for 1k so nothing crazy.

tough call.

i was doing builds of all 3 and if it was me i would just get the 110S and add a bunch of stuff to it.

got to get the explorer pack whatever you do

i haven't seen that much compelling about the 110X

as i have been playing around on the website with it a bit, i do like it more than first impression

Yeah the way I had the 110 hse equipped it was around 78k and the 110x was around 8k more. The big ticket item in the x is the full Windsor leather which is probably awesome I am guessing you might have it in your RR?

Then my salesman comes over and tells me he built his spec for 62k lol I am like wtf how did you pull that and then I realized he went 4 banger. There is a compelling argument for a stripper 4 banger with steel wheels and a white roof. I just know myself and can't do it. Maybe if I keep the LC but if the LC goes this needs to be well equipped.

Def need the pack with the exterior box to cover the unsightly floating pillar thing

Def the tempting option. They have as many options on this as Porsche. Nuts. At this point it is unclear on how many will be port installed which is somewhat annoying. Apparently many will be dealer installed to begin.

i split the difference i was right at 70k for my build but i added the 5X2 seats.

yeah the RR has the nice leather... if they call it windsor, IDK. Its nice, perforated and its from a cow

I prefer the heated/cooled seats to the material though. Especially cooled seats. Probably never use the heat

Im going to test drive one just to see but I'm still lukewarm. Definitely not buying it though

I mean you already have the range so hard to argue haha

More than anything I’m bored with watches and looking back to cars for entertainment.

I’m either grabbing one of these or a cpo 991 911 and keeping the LC.

I would absolutely buy a $70-80k “stripper” G-Wagen Pro if it came to the US. I have already put close to the purchase price into my Jeep JKU with aftermarket parts and labor as there is nothing in the US market that is close to a G-Wagen Pro!

The Aztek. I saw one on eBay for $460 dollars.

I went all over it at Goodwood, does little for me, the steel wheels on the farm version are a bit of a hit the rest is OK but nothing like the original.

It is actually made in Slovakia. I will admit I am very unsure of buying one but to be honest all the best engineers I knew in school were from India so I have no concerns over the quality of people that might be working on Tata products.

Agree, my engineering teams are the most talented I’ve worked with and they truly work their butts off.

I had the opposite experience, to be honest. Two Indian Vendors of Oil and Gas equipment, both were PITA
Chinese, Indian, European or Japanese - all could be either good or bad
