Is this genuine?

Came across this today and was purely curious if this was legit or not. Thoughts?

Well the dial is not original, and that is the only thing that would make that watch worth more than $1'000.

I think the only thing there that is Rolex is the movement and maybe the case but it probably started life as a pocket watch.

They claim it is from 1910 which would predate the Cartier Santos by a year which was the first wrist watch.

Most of the watches that they are offering have "Restored" dials.

Lookalike but not well done replica of a trench watch. In that era the lugbars were solid - not removable springbars.

Thanks for the replies guys. Wasn't interested in buying it, but was curious if it was the real deal, as I had never seen one like that case wise, or anything else for that matter. That seller seems to have plenty of questionable pieces on their site. A shame.

Actually, I believe "1910's" could mean any year between 1910 and 1919.

It's weird being the same age as old people.

Upon browsing their site, seems like they have quite a few pieces that could be questioned, or are really overpriced. Quite a shame.
