Zenith Chronomaster Original

Anyone waiting or already picked up one of the new Chronomaster Originals?

38mm case and updated El Primero movement.

BUT $9k USD retail for steel on bracelet?

Even with that, its on my list.

I'm waiting a year or so when they drop in price due to them being used on the 2ndary. I prefer the black dial.

Same goes for the chronomaster sport.

I think it’s great still good pricing and it’s a keeper but you can get a better deal preowned.

couldn't resist as i've been looking for a revival-esque A386 re-edition but the previous versions in precious metal weren't for me. so when the AD offered 15% off, which is still much less than years past, i decided to pull the trigger...

I'm partial to buying new as I only really want to buy "lifetime" watches and I do like my name on the paper work. 15% off would be good. I need to stop by the AD closes to me and check them out. My only concern is about the bracelet/clasp. Ive only worn modern Rolex SEL bracelets and to me they are the gold standard at any price point. I don't want to be underwhelmed by Zeniths bracelet. I would probably by the bracelet version to keep, but wear it on a rubber strap

Don't let that stop you. I too love the bracelets on Rolex sports models, but the clasps are bullllllky. There are more elegant and refined choices out there.

Straps are the way to go for watches like zenith. They highlight it and straps can become super comfortable

Not sure if they changed the bracelet on this version compared to the previous 38mm, but the older one’s bracelet was not comfortable IMO and I’m a bracelet guy.

At €9k I find the clasp not super convincing on the new Zeniths (Chronomaster Sport and Original). The clasp is much better executed on my OP 36 of this year. Lack of easy micro adjustment is also not great at that price.
Otherwise, beautifull watch for sure and great 38mm size.
I am a bracelet guy too and have been spoiled by the Rolex ones...

I just sold my Chronomaster Sport white dial only because the bracelet and clasp is underwhelming. Rolex still makes far better steel bracelets.

Hopefully they improve this flaw about the clasp soon so the watches match their price tags
