Need help with inherited Rolex datejust
Folks
If I could enlist the help of this knowledgeable board, we found this datejust in my father’s cabinet. It looks wrong to me, but I wanted to be absolutely sure. Any thoughts on it being legit would be sincerely appreciated. |

There are some problems with that watch.
This thread will probably wind up in the "Watch Out" forum, where you will get some honest opinions.

You’ve sold so many watches here before and you can’t tell that’s a really bad fake? I’d be worried dealing with you if I’m honest…

Sorry, but it does not look good. Cyclops is a big red flag. You can always open the back to examine the movement. |

Ok. I deserve the spanking but in my defense it was left to a nephew and I just had to be fully sure. Part of me was hoping otherwise.

Isn’t that reference number on the sticker for a Day Date, not a Datejust?

Yep, pretty much a glaring red flag. But so many other issues. 18239 pic from Chrono24 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

You can literally see where the gold paint is rubbing off on the underside of the watch.
