Medium or large Cartier Santos

So been pondering this one for my next watch. I’m leaning towards the medium because I will use this as mainly a dressy watch and the large is really large! I usually love the date function but I won’t be wearing this on a daily basis, so I don’t think it would bother me as much. What are your thoughts and any suggestions from current owners would be appreciated. Thanks as usual!

Medium for fit and lack of poorly executed and unnecessary date window.

From the pictures, I think the medium looks better on you.

The "medium" should really be the large; that's a watch that, IMO, just didn't scale up very well. It was meant to be sleek, not chunky.

I've actually taken a liking to my wife's sidelined "old" Santos (the 29mm) and am considering wearing occasionally. I'm totally comfortable with the idea of wearing my wife's watch. I'm less comfortable about wearing a quartz watch.

That, or maybe slightly larger, is the size a Santos should be, IMO. Even the medium version strikes me as a bit thick...

Medium. Mismatched white date wheel is hard for me. I'd rather have opposite / didn't try than pretty close.

Medium for the dress watch. No contest. By the way, I am in the same boat. 7.25" wrist and the large is too large to be dress. If I ever get it, it'll be a medium. 18K hopefully ;)

FWIW, I went with the large blue. No problem with the size and love this watch.

The medium seems to fit you better. I could have gone with the large or the medium. I chose the large Santos with blue dial. I didn't mind the date window as much on the blue dial, and it also gave me the option of adding the rubber strap from the ADLC Santos.

I choose the large on my 7" wrist. The medium just felt a bit small to me. Matter of preference. Love the watch!

I also got a Large Blue but to me its just right, even on the touch small for me. And I've only got a 6.75 wrist but (some have said) I have popeye-esque forearms

I think the two sizes are both great and depends on what you are looking for in a watch. The medium is good for the classy dressy look, and the large looks great for a large steel sports watch. Both beautiful!

Really depends on you need a date or not .. the large is actually not that big of a watch IRL.. similar size as a Submariner and thinner more elegant and the curved case back gives a perfect fit too. I went for the large size for the date and more clarity (my eyes are not as sharp nowadays).

Tried the large on yesterday and it looked good, even my wife who dislikes any watch that isn’t round decided that it was a good look and fit on me.

If you buying full gold or half gold, go for mid size.. large size for SS.. more sporty for daily wear.

On your wrist definitely the large.
You'll regret getting the medium.

You show us close up wrist shots. Most people can't seem to understand that this gives a deceiving perspective. In reality I am 100% sure the large looks like the medium picture you posted on your wrist.

Always take/use mirror pictures if you are soliciting people's advice regarding size.

The medium is my choice due to the more classic size and the lack of a date. On your wrist I also think the medium looks much better.
