BLRO: at what price point?

For those of you wanting to purchase a BLRO, IF you’re willing to buy from a gray dealer what price point are you waiting to see?

€10k / $11.5k would be tempting although I'd really try to get it at MSRP from AD.

MSRP, let the grey’s eat the loss on their inflated inventory.

This subject has come up. Looks like $17K minimum to play in Grey.

Amazing for $9200 list watch.

I am really not sure about this watch and the colour and bracelet. That said, 10.5k Euro I would jump in, I prefer the TT CHNR.

Retail + tax.
Otherwise I would feel ripped off every time I look at my wrist, a feeling that makes it not worth owning. Keep in mind we’re already overpaying for these toys without the inflated costs.

As they say: “A fool and his money are soon parted.”

And I don’t mind being a fool if and only if money grows on the trees in my backyard

Expect prices to settle with all the incomings, signaling it might not be as rare as the blue skyD or white daytona

A little off topic, but I wonder what will happen with the BRLO waitlist when the 2019 models come out (assumed an updated LN, and/or BLNR, Tudor BB58 GMT).

I feel like some might want something else when April 2019 rolls around.
If you can wait, it might be good to see what happens next year.

I never pay anything over msrp from ceramic Daytona to new GMT Pepsi or SkyDweller. If AD can’t get me one then I don’t own one but they have had sorted 2 Daytona and a SkyD for me already. As far as the new Pepsi, I think Batman look better albeit Pepsi has newer movements. Given the choices I buy the BLNR before Pepsi.

LOL @ picking on the grays pricing.......

I'm going to assume nobody has any idea what they have to pay to acquire one. I'm fairly certain you'd be shocked.

One I trust tells me he thinks they will eventually settle around $14k.

it seems a bit too easy to type "I don't pay over retail and not a penny more"
I think most people get that, however, most people have families and lives rather than a collection of watches. Decisions will be made. I am sometimes embarrassed on how much time I spend on watch decisions, then again I could be in my moms basement in Atlanta and be 1st on the wait list.

$9250 +tax is what I paid and what everyone should pay.

If you tell the AD you’ll buy $7k worth of jewelry for the wife if they get you a Pepsi, chances are they will.

Why give that $7k to a reseller (the root cause of this shortage?)? Every day I see a handful pop up for sale on IG. These are the folks on multiple wait lists that buy up the supply.

Correct. There’s a couple good posts on ADs bundling in their shops in other threads. Good advice.

For any currently produced piece... MSRP + what I would pay in tax... But at that price it better be BNIB and has to have my name on the card.

LOL at the LOL. No one is “making” the greys pay these prices so they can turn around and jack them up even more. They are just keeping this artificially inflated.

So no, sorry I’m never going to feel “bad” for them.

It depends how much stock is in supply. The more Rolex releases, the more the price will come down.

I expect it to settle around 14K

A lot of people in here thinks that greys acquire them for 9250 to sell them off at 17K. Greys acquire them for 16K and sell them off for 17K. That's how it works (or within that range).
