Put a deposit on one today, I had been on a another waitlist but decided to call another AD. SA said If I put a deposit down next one in the door is mine.

Hopefully that’s sooner rather than later because in the meantime I’m basically obsessed. I haven’t even seen one in person and I keep hearing that’s when it really comes alive.

I am in the same boat as you, I didn't have to put a deposit down since I bought 2 watches from this AD in the last 11 months. She said it will be soon, it will be this year, just don't know exactly when. Hope our wait won't be too much longer! Ah, the anticipation, it's part of the fun of collecting watches I guess!

Agreed, I can’t wait to see your “incoming” post as well!

Frustrating thing for me is that when I called the second AD (more local one after a move) and inquired about the root beer, the SA chuckled saying that he was sitting on one for a couple days and just sold it an hour ago.

I missed the CHNR by an hour, it kills me, but promising to hear that they are coming in.

Ohhh...that's got to suck!! Since he only had it for 2 days, it's probably going to be a while before he gets the next one in. Hopefully his waiting list now only consists of you. Did he officially put you on the list? I am guessing you have no purchase history with this AD yet? How about the first AD? I am guessing he is a bit more of a drive than the second one, are you on a list with them and did you have purchase history?

No purchase history at either since this would actually be my first Rolex (of course I picked a somewhat tough one) but I’m on the list at 2 ADs

1st - NYC (tough market for me) I met with SA and the next day he texted me somewhat of a “be ready I’ll be calling you soon” that was last week.

2nd - CT (waiting out pandemic up here) - gave deposit to AD and they said that I’m next and that it would be “within the year maybe a couple months”

So its actually only been a little over a week on the wait list but it feels like forever. I don’t know how people wait years for a Pepsi or a SS Daytona.

Your second AD sound like my AD....maybe we will post "Incomings" on the same day!

To shorten the wait, admire other peoples pics in this forum, and of course, watch all the reviews on YouTube. Amazing how many asian reviews there are, this watch must be really popular over there.

That‘s exactly the way I am handling it. Being on the list for a couple of weeks now. The AD to get it before Christmas. Now I am searching YT for new stuff regularly.

May I ask your wrist size? My wrist is a little over 7 1/4 inches and I'm trying to find out how this RootBeer looks on a similar or larger wrist than mine. Thank you

At 7 1/4” wrist your right in the sweet spot with the Rootbeer or any other GMT for that matter.

It’s when you get below 6 1/2” I would say the watch will start to look too oversized.

Thank you sir, also, to me it appears the ceramic bezel insert appears wider in the GMT’s than the subs. Are my eyes correct or does it just appear that way?

My pleasure, but as for the bezel width I dont honestly know. I believe they are the same width but the larger digits on a GMT Bezel probably make it look a little wider but I dont think they are.
