It’s puzzling to me because the Rolex website shows a dial without any extra crowns.

Massive apologies Sonos..I just took out my Rolex and took a closer look. It does indeed only have one "swiss-coronet-made" under the six on the dial.
It had been a while since having worn it. I would definitely recommend that you show the watch to a Rolex AD. I am very sorry for my mistake Sonos!

Nice looking watch. The crowns are minutia and worrying about them is way over thinking things. Who ever has the watch should wear it and enjoy it knowing it came from an AD.

Assuming your parents physically walked into a SWG store and made the purchase, then there's no issue regarding authenticity since SWG is a very prominent AD in SG & MY. If the purchase was not done physically then you might expect problems.

Likely possible explanations:

1) New updated movement with dial print
2) Misprinted dial

Like others have said, Rolex might be launching new models, movements during BW 2020, but since its canceled and the stock has been produced, they might just make their way through AD's and eventually to you. Or could be just human error and they misprinted the dial, since this is not a very hot model maybe it just missed everyone's attention (highly unlikely but possible).

Either way I see this as a win- You either got the newer movement watch or a very very rare double crown lady datejust haha.

Perhaps there is a country by country variation and SG warranty cards have a thick font and state dd-mm-yyyy and don't list a country code before the name of an AD. But that is the only thing that is making me question it now. If someone can confirm that the font and writing on the card is correct, I'd have no issues trusting that watch is definitely real. Otherwise, I am slightly suspicious, but not significantly so if the watch was bought straight from an AD. More curious even than suspicious.
I can confirm that the papers are real. I had a expII polar w SWG back in 2015 and the paper's font matches. The country code was also moved to the back after the AD name which matches OP's papers.

I'm dubious about the card. For US ADs, I've never seen a card without the bracelet model specified. The font is also different on ref #. Wish I see better photos.

But... I suppose this could be something very recent. If you're certain your parents purchased at an AD, you're fine.

Have to agree and one thing thats 100% sure if bought from a official Rolex AD the watch will be 100% genuine.Plus the fact dials are made in three different factories now all owned by Rolex, there always will and have been tiny differences to most all dials.Yes its possible the two crowns indicate a movement upgrade who knows but would not be concerned.

Can't see it being fake from an AD or why fakers would add so much extra stuff to one.

Have to agree and just cannot see the point of a genuine gold case with a non genuine movement inside.

The watch the OP posted as the subject of the thread is SS, 28mm Lady-Datejust RRP about $10K USD.

When did Rolex issue a new movement for the 28mm? I don’t have that handy...

In the website Rolex doesn’t show any 28mm LDJ’s with an extra coronet at 6 o’clock - help me if I’m missing something.

The 28mm DJ got a new movement (cal 2236) at Baselworld 2015. I have never seen one with either one ore two coronets at 6 o’clock. 2236 is a new generation calibre and I would think it extraordinarily unlikely that a new movement would be introduced in 2020. They have only just finished rolling that movement out to the DJ31.

Can't you just take it to Singapore SC and have them check it out?

Maybe the double crown is what we would have seen at Basel this year if it wasnt cancelled.

So ladies get two crowns. Gents only get one. Fair enough.

Pointer to the fact is that I work with the Football team closely. You don't think said player would be running off to the newspaper to say he was duped It is what it is......So just because its an AD, doesn't mean you cant be screwed over. The ADs are run by humans, it's not an automated human free process hence 'RISK' is introduced. On this known occasion a Gold 'FakeOriginal' (New word) made its way onto someones wrist.
