Perfection for me too. I have a SS BLRO and Daytona C noire.Looking to pick up a third possibly an OP 39 white

I could easily live with 3 but I have watches I am not willing to part with as I enjoy them still. As long as they are worn and get time then why not.

I think 3 would be a good number to keep in rotation.

I attempt to live a minimalist lifestyle of just the essentials, so subscribe to a small watch collection.

I currently own an Oris BC Pro Pilot along with an Apple Watch Series 2. The Series 2 is for every day and tracking runs, the Oris is weekends or when I want mechanical only.

My dream watch collection would be a Rolex Submariner Date as my every day watch (T Minus 2 months if I'm lucky with my AD order!) and then one other watch for smarter occasions or just to switch it up. Current dreams are a Rolex Daytona, Grand Seiko Snowflake or a Patek Aquanaut. A man can dream, right?!

But aside from my fantasies, the hear and now affords me a nice 2 watch set up and I honestly can fathom needing more than that. 1 for everyday use, 1 for refined situations or just to smarten up, 2 feels just right.

If you ever felt generous and fancied helping a fellow Englishman with their dream watch collection, I'll trade you my Oris Pro Pilot for your white dialled Daytona. ;)

A TT Champagne Roman DJ 36mm
A SS Oysterdate refurbished by Rolex
A TAG Caliber 5 diver 41mm

Fits all my needs. Bought and sold 10 watches to get to this order.

Three is a good number for me!

I wish I had a brother that was into watches because I'd happily share some of these watches. I don't own a Rolex yet so maybe my opinion will change.

But I'd love to be able to borrow a watch for a week or two then switch around. Rotating 3-4 watches between two people would be great!

Currently have 3 but could see myself going down to 2 in the future. Maybe 1 SS and 1 PM.

2 has been perfect for me but I could see 5 finding their way into collection.

You need a diver, a chrono, a GMT, a rubber strapped, a leather strapped dress watch, something in every precious metal, some crazy complication like a Sky-Dweller or YM2, then you need haute horology and you're totally screwed.

Well, instead of going to an AD to look at empty cases or staring at pics online, I go to my safe and figure out what I want to wear, or I go to my bank box and grab 3-4 for the month. In a way it’s like shopping or getting a few new pieces but it’s my watches and not new expenses.

I get the point OP and I do sometimes think about how many I have put away (fortunately), but they do get their moment to shine and I always feel like I’m wearing new pieces. The newness doesn’t wear off.

I haven’t gone off the wall wearing two at once (yet), but to those saying you can only wear one, you do have two arms. Now that would be a tell tale sign you are in the presence of a WIS.

I purchased my Rolexes to wear them and eventually pass them along to my kids as heirlooms. For those of you who have collections, how do you spend so much money on them and ultimately have multiple sitting on the sideline?

This is a much better way to explain and ask what I asked in my previous post “how do you rotate your watches?”

Thank you for this!
