To me it’s easily the Daytona. I mean it hasn’t really done or does anything special. I think it gets the notoriety due to the brand and celebrity wearers but actually the watch isn’t anything special. The Speedmaster or El Primero blow it away in history or accomplishments

Taking into consideration ten years ago almost every AD had a few on display as it was not so desired , I agree....

Any model that requires a waiting list means something is now overrated.

But in all seriousness, probably the BLNR/BLRO...they're just bezel colors.

BLNR...The GMT IIc was never super popular until they put some color on there that makes it look like a cartoon watch. IMHO, the LN is what separates the men from the boys.

BLNR is another one...
BLBO is another one...
LV is another one...

Basically....they're like iphone in red/blue/green. Looks cool on day 1, but gets old on day 2.

BLNR maybe. I want to like it but it doesn't seem very special to me at all. The BLRO is a decades old classic and is really eye catching on Jubilee or Oyster but the BLNR .... bit of a one trick pony for me.

The Daytona C, BLNR, BLRO and LVc are truly overhyped and overrated the most IMO.

I'd agree with the Daytona. Also SS models in general. Something is wrong when SS goes for a significant premium over TT and in some cases PM models.

Date-Dweller is sooooooo overrated. Either than or the Yacht-King.

Overrated/underrated makes no difference to me. I buy what I like. My next watch very well could be a RG OF yachtmaster so there you go

To me the BLNR. I've seen this watch twice in-person at the AD and have just never been overly impressed with it. I think it's a nice watch and I love GMT's but I don't get the hyper over it or the wait lists. Don't flame me, but to my eyes the blue cheapens the watch, makes is looks a little toy-ish. Love the other models and the much UNDERrated all black version.

Another vote for the Daytona, from a personal perspective. I have no use for the timing/complication, but for wearers like Dr. Tom who utilize it, all of that functionality is worth it, whereas I would trade it for a simple date.

Then again, overrated? Not sure there is one that would fit that category. If I had a Zenith or a Platona, you better believe I'd find a way to fit those into the rotation

Overrated? Like how? They all tell time. Overrated is in the eyes of the beholder. Ask the person that will never be able to own - one; which one is overrated, they´d probably take any piece, in a heart beat, for free.

Quality notwithstanding, I agree with this. And just to add, as I’ve mentioned before in posts, the Daytona IMO is THE least distinctive/unique looking model line in the entire Sports Rolex lineup. Busy dials with circles/ Sub dials tend to blend into the crowd for me...to the extent that most all chronographs from ANY brand, including Rolex, look the same to me. (The Omega Speedmaster Pro is the exception.)

Just my subjective opinion—chronographs ....and watches with dial colors like red, orange, and green have less staying power over time for me. I tend to get tired of them very quickly.

I have to go with the BLNR. I tried to love it, but something about it just never clicked with me. The blue made it feel a bit busy maybe. Ironically I think the LN is near perfect.
