Moved to Nashville
Recently I've moved to Nashville, TN. Coming from Chicago I could find watch fanatics left and right. I also know all of the great places to go in Chicago.
Nashville on the other hand I have no clue where to go and what to do. Who on RF is from Nash, and what should I check out? |

surprisingly. my first say i saw an MP4-12C. there are also a few Lamborghinis in my subdivision. One guy leaves his outside year round. the other drives his convertible Gallardo in the rain.

There are some famous guitar shops in Nashville. Gruhn and Carter come to mind.

Congrats on your move! I hope you love it there. I live only 60mi to the north in KY. We try to visit once a month to shop or to be entertained. It's a great town. Green Hills is the high end shopping part of town and tons of places to eat all over Nashville to eat.

For nightlife, go to Broadway and along 2nd Street. It's very touristy and you won't find many locals there, but you have to experience it at least once.
There's live music everywhere. Check out The Grand 'Ole Opry at least once too, even if you aren't a country music fan. I'm a history buff, so I enjoyed Andrew Jackson's home The Hermitage. The Belle Meade area of Nashville also has some good historical stuff to see. If you go south of Nashville along I-65 a few minutes you'll find a small town called Franklin, where there is shopping, several historic antebellum homes and a Civil War battlefield. Leiper's Fork is a small town just west of Franklin that has an awesome vintage bookstore where I always spend too much money and my wife has to drag me out of. For a beautiful, scenic drive go down the Natchez Trace Pkwy. Restaurants and bars: -The Patterson House (my favorite bar, go early as it fills up fast) -Southern Steak and Oyester -Rumors East -Whiskey Kitchen |
