How many Fiddy 127 you think are left?

Based on theft, total loss accidents/destruction, water ingress, mishaps at sea, etc. How many Fiddy 127’s could be left in the world after 18 or so years?

They seem to be in very short supply on C24 too with one US piece at 20k. Since there were so few, one would think that many vanish each year.

Anyhow, here’s my number 686

I suspect that the mass majority are squirreled safely away in safes.

I'm still very pleased with mine and can't see it ever leaving the collection.

How many were originally produced?

Scarcity on the secondary market just means, as others have said, that most will probably be tucked away in a safe somewhere which is a shame - if I had one, it would get plenty of wrist time.

I think it would be unlikely too many have been 'destroyed' or lost at sea etc - even if one is stolen it still 'exists' it just doesn't exist with its rightful owner.

The problem with the 127 is its probably one of, if not 'the' most counterfeited Panerai's out there, so there are probably more fakes than originals floating around.

There were 1950 originals produced. Anyone’s guess as to how many remain, but I’d say the majority.
