Thoughts on Vintage Rolex
ROLEX: 18k yellow gold Rolex Day-Date with aftermarket diamonds; 36mm case, champagne dial with diamond markers, president bracelet; (31) round brilliant cut diamonds, 3.0mm = an estimated 3.00 carats, Good/I-J/SI1-SI2; Model 18038.
I am paying about 13K for this. Please note that this is not for sale or buying post. Just looking for input to see if i am not being taken advantage of. I do appreciate your attention and input. |

Aftermarket mods are usually polarizing. So are diamond bezels.
Also would be concerned about the quality/craftsmanship of the mods. Is the work recent? What if the diamonds start popping out (good luck saving them)? Any warranty? The resale market for that piece will be limited. |

I'd use that 13k for a pre-owned Sub.

Thank you all,, Yea i was wondering ,, The quality seems okay but diamonds seems to be genuine/authentic.
I might have to take my chances on AD. |

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, . . . . . . . uh uh.
Buy new from an AD <or a trusted seller here> and sleep at night.

That looks like an older bezel based on the style... diamonds are probably genuine but good luck finding a buyer... figure an extra $500-$800 for genuine Rolex replacement parts (dial and fluted bezel)
