Dawg Watch
I originally had this idea a few years ago with a red Tudor Fastrider, but never acted on that particular piece. I just wasn't 100% sure that was the answer. The first time i saw the Navitimer SwissAir I knew that was the one.
Living in Athens I have a few connections around town and managed to get my hands on a couple of blown out game use UGA footballs. While I would not classify it as a tier one execution, I also know a guy that is into leather work. I had him cut up the football and make me a watch strap. Important to the final product was getting the cut through the G just right so that element was easily identifiable. In that regard he did well. The keepers are hand dyed to resemble the laces. For sure it will wear off more over time, but I ma still quite happy with this setup. Go Dawgs!! |

Looks good. When I saw the thread title, I was thinking this was another post complaining about Breitling and their poor resale or something along those lines. I've always wanted to something similar with a baseball glove but just never got around to it.
