Patek Philippe magazine and thank you letter

Hi guys, I have got my first pp 5196R recently. The AD told me that there will be a thank you letter sent to me and also regularly some magazines. Do you know when will these usually be sent out? Excited to be part of the family :)

hehe welcome.
In the next 3 months there should be a new magazine and if there is a thank you letters it will be included with that. I cant remember exactly. However the last 2 years have been a bit of a mess for Patek magazines due to covid. I think there have been about 3 magazines in the last 2 years?

The new issue arrived a week or so ago, and everyone gets the same 'thank you letter' inside the magazine in every issue, so it's not 'wet ink' personally hand-signed or anything like that. If you desire a proper wet ink hand-signed thank you letter from a watchmaker, MB&F and a few others do as they truly value their enthusiasts, yet not Patek.

Question: Does FP Journe include/send a hand-signed thank you letter?

I have always received a separate letter after a new purchase from Patek, not linked to the magazine at all. Usually takes a few months to arrive, from TS but clearly not personally signed - when you make 60,000 watches it is slightly harder to write to all your clients individually. I would be very surprised if/when MB&F get to 60,000 watches per annum that they even bother to send a letter from the factory at all after a new purchase or indeed bother with a free quarterly magazine.

I got my FPJ on 15 Oct 2021 and have yet to receive any printed or handsigned letter from Mr Journe.

800 pieces annually.

Interesting Russell and Michael. Agree about PP, an autopen would be needed.

I just got mine today. Also, don’t you need to register online to receive the magazine? Anyone of you with more than one watch requested a second copy?

BTW, I don’t think FPJ send out letters. MB&F and Voutilainen do. Making under 100 pieces annually probably make it easier to send personal thanks.

I don’t think my AD did it for me. Also, my watch papers are all under my children’s names so I always go online to make sure my name is also showing in their system. (Buying too much into the PP ad campaign)

When I bought my watch, the AD gave me a registration form of pp to fill in with personal particulars and home addresses. It is around a month now. Is it normal nothing is received?
