Day-Date dial question

Saw this DD dial on C24 - It looks a bit like a linen dial, a bit like a mosaic/shantung dial, but it’s not quite like either one. (Just when I thought I’d seen them all, … )

My instinct is that it’s just a linen dial, only slightly “more so.” (Although I believe it’s not just the camera angle and raking light enhancing the linen-y effect here, the pattern is different.)

Anyone know anything about it - Name, when it was offered, etc.? Have you seen it before?
.

Looks Linen to me and somewhat overexposed from messing with the filters before posting

Looks linen to me, caught under odd lighting/shadows making the valleys look deeper?

This, and the angle of the light. That's the Occam's Razor answer.

It's very unlikely that there's a dial variant nobody's ever seen before.

Should be a linen dial. The light comes from the lower side, so the shadows seem to be longer than usual.

But it's true, the texture seems to be very special.

I think wood dials have gold surrounds for day and date

I wouldn't think twice just calling this a linen dial.
