I want a new watch …

Hey guys how you’re all doing well happy Xmas haven’t posted here for a little while (by my standards).

Well.. I want a new watch. Some regular posters who know me know my collection it’s pretty well rounded and don’t plan on selling any. Contains 5 PM and quite a few other bits and pieces.

I have this problem. I cannot stop wearing my SD43, I’ve owned it for 14 months or so now and nothing can replace it, i should probably be happy I’m content but I want that new phone watch feeling so what can you do?

I don’t really own anything from any other brands, well I have some tags and breitling and seikos but nothing higher end shall we say. I’ve always always wanted the VC overseas but not sure how AD situations are when going to brands other than rolex? I only buy grey because I can’t get anywhere with ADs here in England.

Also wondered if anyone had any good suggestions for non rolex brands, that cost around the realm of the MSRP for a submariner?

Do I buy another Datejust, I love my tt but maybe a steel one would be nice?

Is there any point to this post even lol should I just be content I’m literally “looking for a watch” rather than yearning over one. But I just want that new watch feeling! Could there be a cheaper brand that might scratch that itch?

How about Zero West? Big watches and all with a story behind them.

What about Zenith Defy? They give me the same vibe as the limited edition overseas from this year.

Breguet, pre-owned. Less than MSRP of a submariner.

An inexpensive option (by your standards) I’d recommend is Panerai.

You have the wrist for it, and if you enjoy wearing your SD43, you’ll find that these wear very comfortable in comparison

This is what a 47mm Radiomir looks like on a 7" flat wrist and scrawny arms

Panerai brand is a strap monster with no lack of options … it’s quite a rabbit hole

I don’t have pictures, but I do wear it on OEM rubber if I’m going to swim. I also have an OEM blue alligator strap that I bought at the boutique in Firenze.

How about a Baltic MR01? You can pre-order until 31 Jan and with expected delivery in September
