Vintage Day Date Patina

I bought an early 80s YG Day Date this week. Beautiful watch, but wondered about other experiences/knowledge on patina, specifically on the case and bracelet and dial.

The silver dial looks almost like a light champagne, I figure this is normal for older silver dial Rolex watches but was curious. Also, the case and bracelet appear almost pinkish… not a complaint I actually really like it…folks on here seen this same thing before?

Direct sunlight, and non-direct sunlight…

From what I see, looks like what might be expected for a 40+ year old piece..
Looks great, IMO..

The best is when they tarnish and creates a rainbow effect on the gold. Below is the extreme but a lot of times you will find it in the corners and crevices.

I have seen some DD:s that has pinky patina…seems like they age in to that color. Here is an example from HQ-M.:

As much as I love vintage watch patina/tropical dials and lume I haven’t quite gotten into the tarnished gold look yet.
But that 6062 above is definitely spectacular…

Vintage Day Date Patina

I really appreciate the thoughtful responses. A vintage YG Day Date has been a bit of a dream for several years after buying and selling all modern pieces. This watch got an audible “wow” out of me when I first opened the box upon receiving it.

My 1013 from the late 1985 has some rose gold overtones in certain light. Same watch in different lights.

Congrats on the DD.
My DD showed tarnish which I found kind of dirty looking. Luckily it comes of pretty easy
